If this is how some Obama supporters behave....

No matter what it is not the right of others to take anothers property. I worked for mine and it is not theirs. Period. ! ! ! !:fight:

It's also not right to shout "Kill him!".

I never said anyone had the right to steal. I just think shooting someone over a campaign sign would be really really sad.

 Okay. I stand by my beliefs that any use of a weapon is an over reaction. It is a campaign sign...it isn't that important.

If you put out a sign that says "I'll likely do y to you, if I catch you doing x on my property.", then that's no over reaction, that's an under reaction to what the home owner previously stated would happen.

According to at least one poster, the hateful rhetoric from McCain was the cause of the death threats and vandalism of an ACORN office. Wonder if he will say that hateful rhetoric from Obama caused this.

There have been no stump speeches about McCain being a fascist, performing voodoo in secret, or questioning his "Americanism". Show me "hateful" rhetoric from Obama and you might have a point.

It is sad that some clown is stealing a campaign sign...

1. 'Trespassed' is spelled incorrectly.

2. Isn't it a Mccain/Palin sign? I'm pretty sure he still comes first.

Those 2 things jumped out at me to the point that the rest of the sign didn't matter.

I know a woman who had her Obama sign burned in her yard and they used gasoline to make a fiery cross in her lawn. It didn't really hit the media because she didn't want publicity but it scared her to death.

Thanks Columbo, if only they'd had you at the seen....

Funny sidebar, but 4 years ago my uncle was in a contested election for state representative here locally. He had invested in many of the yard signs to place around the county. Not only are they a time-honored and extremely important campaign tool and symbol of speech, but they are very, very expensive, particularly for low-budget local candidates.

Anyway, his signs were being systematically stolen/destroyed around the county, including from my father's front yard. The local sign administrator's response to our complaint (he was from the other party) was "kids, whuddya gonna do?"

So, we stayed up one night (my dad and his brothers are all ex-military) near the election and left the property totally dark. At about 2 a.m., sure enough, here comes a car, with lights off, trolling passed dad's property. When they got to dad's a guy leans out the car window and yanks up the sign. My 3 uncles and dad all hopped out from various locations and began firing their federal issue .357's in the air.

The car could not turn around and we all surrounded it with our mag-lites shining on them and the color was drained from their faces (they were NOT kids) and they were yammering like hippies who got caught with their stash. We did not prosecute and sign-stealing has never been a problem again. It was priceless.

So you think it is okay to shoot someone who is stealing a campaign sign? Really? That's not over reacting?

And I think it depends on what state you are in as to whether or not you can use lethal force to defend your property.

Barack Obama voted to make it a crime in Illinois for a homeowner to use a gun to defend himself and his family from a home invader. People who trespass and steal or firebomb personal property deserve to be shot but if it is not already against the law in your state it may soon be in an Obama thugocracy.

I would not shoot somebody for stealing a yard sign but I would certainly aim to kill a home invader to protect my family and to ensure that they would not pay us a repeat visit.

These came from McCain? Questioning someone's "Americanism" is not hateful speech in my opinion. Would you think false accusations of racism is hateful rhetoric?

Calling Obama a socialist has been the main talking point of the McCain campaign the last few days, calling him a Muslim has not been a McCain push but it has widely been pushed by the republicans on the ground, read BGP for example.

Questioning someone's "Americanism" is hateful and it is also the most disgraceful distasteful action that the republicans have partaken in during the last 28 years. What they inappropriately deem "American" are there own values, and call others who disagree "anti-American".

Yes false accusations of racism are hateful but I don't see anyone calling McCain a racist.

Obama is a socialist. Loook at his economic ideas, then read up on socialism. They are one in the same. If that doesn't bother you, that's fine. But don't get offended or call it "hateful" when the truth is spoken. Any economy that wants to take from the performers and give to the non-performers is a form of socialism.

He's not a socialist. If you want to mend the definition of socialism so that it can include Obama, then you'll also include McCain and the United States.
