Not all that surprised Newport won, but I didn't think they would win by three touchdowns.

Newport took advantage of some of Scott's mistakes. Scott seemed as though they did not show up to play. Good win for the Cats.

Have to play with pride, and it didn't sound like the boys from Taylor Mill did so.

Ugly game for the Eagles. Newport recovered a fumble for a td early and returned a pick deep in the red zone and quickly scored from that. Down early, Scott never recovered. Reyes scored the late td for the Eagles.

Very surprised by not only the outcome, but also the score.

Scott has came out lathargic the past few games compared to being pumped at the beginning of the season. Scott didnt show up to play this game and thats a shame because it was another winable game. They still have the same team as the first two games of the year so whats going on? I think Scott is getting a dose of reality and figuring out Walton and Dayton were two give me wins. Facing tougher opponents and faster teams who scout Scotts two plays they run have figured out how to stop Reyes and Sowder. Maybe Scott will come out pumped up for the county rivalry with Dixie next week and go over to Dixie and suprise some people including me. I hope they can do this just work hard all week and act like you want to play the game!!!

For some consolation for the Eagles fans, the jv beat Newport in 3ot 14-8...

Congrats to the Newport Wildcats! The Wildcats have great athletes and it seems as if the coaching staff is starting to realize that fact, and starting to utilize the boys. Look for the Wildcats to really put it together and win big games down the stretch. Maybe 2nd or 3rd round of State Play-offs.

Newport showed me a huge sign of improvement. Maybe they just wanted it that bad after being embarrased at Scott last year 34-0.
