I think Coach Hyder and his staff are putting the puzzle together. They have been moving kids around all year in and out to find out who play best and where they can help the Wildcats the most. They are getting the right play called at the right time, putting the ball in the hand of the players who can get things done. I look for them to improve a little more and be ready for the playoffs!!

One must also consider that #40 Smith was not at the game - not sure what was going on with that but he does make a difference on the defense. Newport played good defense without him and IMO I could have taken a freshmen team and put together a good enough defense to stop that 2 play offense that Scott used. Granted their offense was all on one formation just a matter of handing it off to the back or a wide out going from the side. I would hope that they have more than just that in their play book.

Scott looks like they are packing it in for the year. Teams that scout Scott are picking up on the 2 plays they run and the 2 players they use mostly. Scott's offensive coordinator whoever it is needs to implement some more plays in the playbook because everyone knows now what they run. If Scott doesn't come out to play against Dixie it will get ugly quick. People must realize that Scott's 2 wins came against teams they should have beaten easily but if you had to play the Walton game again right now I think Walton could come out on top because they seem to be getting better every week and Scott seems to be getting WORSE!!!!!!

 

I wonder what Scott's Principal is thinking now on his hiring of a new coach ? I will give Coach Campbell the benefit of the doubt I think he knows what he is doing but his assistants don't seem to have a clue right now. I wish them luck they need 2 more victories to match last years record. I see 1 victory for sure against Ludlow but they will have to come and play to beat Dixie or Henry County.

It does seem as though they are packing it in this season. I watched them against Holmes and they looked good. That two (2) plays against Newport was ridiculous - Newport's freshmen team could have stopped that stuff.

Newport held him to just 41 yards.

Scott was very predictable. I agree, they have to open up the play book more.

Give Campbell a few years he will turn things around and im sure he will sit down during the off season and look at what worked and what didn't. And im sure he will get some more assistants hopefully better ones then what he has now but I am sure he will do what it takes he is a very smart football coach.

Never quite know what the future holds, but I think Coach Campbell will be around for quite awhile. He's got a lot of really good things coming up in the next couple of years that he has been working on that I doubt he would leave anytime soon. I don't know how much is public about what is upcoming, so I can't say, but I can say as an Eagle supporter that I am VERY EXCITED!!! Look for some drastic changes in the very near future!

Scott ran several plays but they ran them out of about the same formation. Newport just played good "D".
