October 14, 200818 yr Mickey Mouse tried to register to vote in Florida this summer, but Orange County elections officials rejected his application, which had an ACORN stamp on it.Shocker. http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/elections/article852295.ece
October 14, 200818 yr Why can't Mickey vote? He's an American citizen, has a job and probably pays taxes. I saw him at Disney World.

October 14, 200818 yr Its so widespread that they will never get their hands around the enormity of it....there is over a million and a half more people registered to vote in Ohio than in 2004. Last week alone, Slim Pickens, Mary Poppins, and Jive Turkey all registered for early vote in Ohio. The entire Dallas Cowboys offense and Peyton Manning registered to vote in Nevada.
October 14, 200818 yr Don't give up hope, Gus. investigators in Ohio just learned that a man who had registered multiple times cast a ballot. That is one down and tens (or is it hundreds?) of thousands to go. BOGUS VOTER BOOTED AMID PROBE OF ACORN 4,000 OF LEFT-WING GROUP'S SIGN-UPS ARE SHADY Investigators probing ACORN have learned that an Ohio man registered to vote several times and cast a bogus ballot with a fake address, officials said yesterday, as they revealed that nearly 4,000 registration applications supplied by the left-leaning activist group were suspect. The vote of Darnell Nash, one of four people subpoenaed in a Cuyahoga County probe of ACORN's voter-registration activities, was canceled and his case was turned over to local prosecutors and law enforcement, Board of Elections officials said yesterday.
October 14, 200818 yr I don't find humor in voter fraud, but that may just be me. We all know it's wrong, it's just funny that someone would put the name Mickey Mouse... BTW, I thought I heard this same inccident in 04...
October 14, 200818 yr We all know it's wrong, it's just funny that someone would put the name Mickey Mouse... BTW, I thought I heard this same inccident in 04... See to me it's not funny b/c the threw it out b/c it said Mickey Mouse. My problem w/ it, and the reason I choose not to see humor is b/c they're not throwing out the "Joe Smith's" that ACORN illegally signed up 25 times.
October 14, 200818 yr Question - someone registers 73 times. Does that mean he/she votes 73 times? How does the actual voter fraud (not the registration fraud) occur? FWIW, I do not doubt this is occurring at all, I just want to understand the second part of it.

FWIW, I do not doubt this is occurring at all, I just want to understand the second part of it. In Ohio they already voted that many times. So it comes down to if they are caught or not before their 73 votes are counted or if they slip threw the cracks b/c more new voters are registered than people that can verify them.

I'm still not understanding...are all these votes absentee?
October 14, 200818 yr I'm still not understanding...are all these votes absentee? Yes, the first week in October in Ohio this year you could register and vote the same day w/o photo id. Ohio doesn't require photo id in November either, but I heard that week there were over 400,000 newly registered voters. There's no way to check all those for fraudulent registrations.

I'm almost with you (I am evidently slow today ). So, the same person could walk up and vote absentee 70 some times? Does he come back through the same line that many times or are these at different precincts?
October 14, 200818 yr TB&G, hopefully I've come across to you as one of the more level headed quasi conservatives on here (in many conservatives opinions I am a RINO and I'm okay with that) and someone not rash to jump to conclusions. My legal training and experience generally has caused me to not make conclusions until I learn of all the evidence. And while all the evidence is not in yet, there have already been way too many reported instances of voter fraud. I have to tell you that I believe that what ACORN is doing is very wrong and is manipulating the election. They can claim that they are non partisan until the cows come home, but I don't think it takes a Rhodes Scholar to see what they are actually doing. What they are doing is abusing the voting system and I believe they are doing it to influence the voting results in favor of Obama. Admittedly, I have long been opposed to making it easier for people to vote. My grandfather served in the military in WWI, my father served in WWII and I also served. In large part we did so to preserve the basic freedoms in this country, one of which is the right to vote and to elect our leaders. And with that right to vote comes with it a right to vote responsibly. That right to vote should not be exercised willy nilly or made easy. It is the most sacred in my opinion of any of our rights because it is the foundation of all our other rights. If Americans are going to be expected to follow our elected leaders, we have to believe that those leaders were validly elected. I think to this day the main reason some D's look on Bush with great distain is because they don't feel he validly won the election vs Gore. And I think the right to vote is an obligation to be taken with the most seriousness of any thing any one does in their lives. It is an action not to be done because it was easy; not to be done because the person is the same color or a different color as the voter; not to be done because the person is of the same party affiliation or a different party affiliation than the voter. But rather to be researched carefully and weighed heavily. A high percentage of voting participation is not why my family has served this country; rather it was so voters would take their voting rights seriously and with the responsibility that my grandfather and father risked their lives in combat to preserve. ACORN's actions to me are insulting to the sacrifices my grandfather and father made for this country. 8 years after Bush was elected and D's felt that he didn't fairly win the election, if Obama gets elected many, many R's will feel the same thing about him. To them, it won't be because more Americans agreed with his policies than McCain; rather they will feel that 100s of 1000s of Americans were pushed to the voting booth by organizations like ACORN, rather they will feel that there was so much voting fraud committed that the election results were skewed. I will support Obama if he is elected to the Presidency because he will be the President of my country. But I feel that many, many people will not look at it the same way I do and we will continue to have a very divided country. And the results will be the same as what we are now experiencing, a divided country with many people feeling the person in the office was not validly elected. And if that happens, I will blame organizations like ACORN, which are led by people more interested in making sure their side wins than they are about preserving the integrity of the most important right and duty that any American has; the right and duty to vote responsibly.
