October 15, 200818 yr ^Obama's hands are dirty to the tune of more than $800,000 his campaign has paid ACORN. Obama and his staff knew that ACORN has engaged in voter registration fraud in past elections, yet they paid ACORN and its affiliates for get out the vote efforts in this election. Obama either knew or should have known what he would get for his money.
October 15, 200818 yr I agree with your first sentence. Who exactly do you mean by "the Dems"? Sorry Democrats. Republicans tried to make it so that you couldn't register and vote the same day in Ohio. I believe that in the past you had to register 30 days before the election. It gave officials a chance to verify the registrant. This year they passed a new law that allowed people to register and vote absentee for 1 week.

If as you say Obama has paid ACORN large sums of money to get out the vote, then even if you think all the false registrations generated by ACORN were done innocently, but mistakenly, I can see how some one could logically question: why would Obama pay an organization with ACORN's problems to get out the vote unless Obama wanted the false registrations and voting to occur? I follow your logic here (not always, but here).

October 15, 200818 yr Ohio must set up a way to verify all new voters Federal appeals court rules the system must be in place before Friday updated 10:19 p.m. ET, Tues., Oct. 14, 2008 CINCINNATI - A federal appeals court on Tuesday ordered Ohio's top elections official to set up a system by Friday to verify the eligibility of new voters and make the information available to the state's 88 county election boards. The full 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati upheld a lower court ruling that Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner must use other government records to check thousands of new voters for registration fraud. A three-judge panel of the 6th Circuit had disagreed last week, but the full court's ruling overturns that decision.
October 15, 200818 yr ^ Actually your link in the "73" thread backs up what was presented on O'Reilly - that the goal is voter registration, by workers who are paid based on quotas of registration cards filled out - not on getting people to actually vote. If one person sets registers 73 times, then that just means more registrations that need to be checked out by whoever is supposed to verify these things. The more registrations, the more fraudulent ones get through.
October 15, 200818 yr If one person sets registers 73 times, then that just means more registrations that need to be checked out by whoever is supposed to verify these things. The more registrations, the more fraudulent ones get through. I agree. I am just saying that the number of fraudulent registrations may not translate into an equal number of fraudulent votes. Even so, every fraudulent vote - no matter which election year it occurs in or what side of the aisle it is for - is wrong.
October 16, 200818 yr ^ It should. Heck I have to show picture ID and sign in. I thought that was or should be sop everywhere.
