I'm still waiting for the "kill him" video. I'm beginning to have my doubts of its legitimacy

You might be right.

So it might be fear-mongering when they do it, but when conservatives do it, it's without a doubt fear-mongering?

So, to quote a poster in another thread, you are calling Habib and I liars?

This is a little vague. What is "it"? If you are refering to the use Obama's middle name over and over an over, for purposes of playing on the fears of the uneducated, yes, that's fear-mongering. If you are referring to the use of other tactics to make Obama sound more like a terrorist than a Harvard educated lawyer, then yes, it is fear-mongering.

Likewise, if you are referring to someone saying that McCain cannot be a good president, because he is older and that he MIGHT die in office, yeah, I could see that being fear-mongering, too.

I do not think his "involvement" in the Keating 5 makes him in any way less worthy of the office of president.

I am concerned that the man might have been an Obama plant. The lunatic Code Pink member who disrupted the Republican convention showed up at a very expensive Obama fundraiser a few weeks later.

Honestly, do Obama's supporters believe that of the thousands of people attending Obama rallies that similar things are not shouted? Considering that 90 percent of the national media will be casting votes for Obama, do you think that they might just be looking at the McCain-Palin crowds with a more critical eye?

I'm betting it was a media plant. They have no idea how to cover the news, so they're making it.:sssh:

 No, but I think the media or whoever quite possibly is. ;)

 Ok. Habib and I are just dumb fools for "hearing" it.

Kind of like the "reporter" the Bush administration planted at WH press conferences to throw the Prez softballs? The one who turned out to be running a gay escort service?

 We will just have to agree to disagree about B. Hussein Obama. My real issue with Obama is that I believe him to be a socialist who believes firmly that the ends justify the means. I want to know what kind of educational reforms he made while running the Annenberg Challenge with Bill Ayers. I want to know if educational reform in Obama's mind (as defined by his actions) means the same thing to him as it does to his friend Ayers and Ayers' friend Hugo Chavez.

Obama and his supporters seem to prefer discussing the use of Obama's middle name over his socialist associations and voting record, so I am performing a service by giving them an issue that they are comfortable with discussing. Maybe in return, some of them will try to explain why Obama has surrounded himself with so many America-hating socialists throughout his adult life and why people like Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan. Jeremiah Wright, Khalid al Mansour, Rashid Khalidi, and many other controversial characters have supported Obama over many years?

None of this has anything to do with my point. Justify it however you please, but stop trying to act as though using his full name is anything other than to influence weak-minded rednecks into thinking he's a card-carrying member of a terrorist organization, or a relative of Sadaam. Whatever works.

When did McCain or Palin say this? If a few people at his rally's say it what can he do?

Never said they did. I don't know if they did or not. I haven't been paying attention. All I said was many people who don't want to see Obama elected are trying to make stupid people think he's an Arab terrorist.

Take a look back at some old threads and you will see that I did exactly that. :thumb:

C'mon now. Every single time you mention his name? It is what it is.

Almost as often as I mentioned Obama's middle name. Look back and you'll see I'm right. It all started with the Bill Cunningham thing. I have never been one to think he's a Muslim, nor do I care, I just think he's a far, far left liberal loon.

I don't need to justify using BHO's full name. It is a silly issue. I will continue to refer to his middle name just to demonstrate how truly uninterested liberals are in addressing real issues.

The invocation today for a McCain rally in Iowa:

I also would also pray, Lord, that your reputation is involved in all that happens between now and November, because there are millions of people around this world praying to their god--whether it's Hindu, Buddha, Allah--that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they're going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens. So I pray that you will step forward and honor your own name with all that happens between now and election day.

Nevermind that Hindus don't pray to "Hindu" and Buddhist don't pray to "Buddha," if they do pray at all, are there no Christians who pray for an Obama win, as ridiculous as it is to pray for a particular politician to win (in my opinion, but that's another can of worms)? I guess those religious individuals who want Obama to win direct their prayers to Allah.

^ There should be a "sigh" smilie, because that's all that I can do to respond to this.

I wish there was a smilie for two alley cats clawing at each other, because that is what this forum has been reduced to.

I remember this thread from a while ago:

I drift in and out of P&R, sometimes not posting for weeks at a time because of a lack of any interesting threads (or because of a lack of will to get down and dirty). But the last two weeks have been excellent in terms of variety and quality of debate in the threads. P&R's really been hoppin' lately, and I salute my fellow bare-knuckle brawlers for it. Hats off to you, P&R denizens! :thumb:
