Someone Gets It...

^It is clear cut. ACORN has a long history of voter fraud and their focus is not on stuffing the ballot box for John McCain. ACORN employees have been indicted in this campaign and in previous campaigns. There is no denying it. It is a fact.

The story is no where to being as clear cut as you may like. ACORN flags all potentially fraudulent forms and turns them all in because they're legally required to do so. They're the ones that brought the bad forms to light in the first place. Things are being handled.

If it was as easy as you would like, wouldn't someone take measures to shut them down if all they were doing was bribing new voters?

You know what? I think I'm done with this forum. Say what you like about me, but I'm done. Too tiring for me. May the best man win.

The Republican party is trying to get them shut down, but the Dems won't let them.

I never took any kind of personal attack. You asked a tough question about uneducated voters. So I asked one back. If that makes you done sorry.

I'm not voting for either of these two clowns. But to say the use of "Hussein" is not an effort to draw a certain distinction in other voters' minds is completely disingenuous.

Do you also refer to the GOP nominee as John Sidney McCain III? For God's sake, I didn't even know his middle name until I punched it in on Wikipedia.

How about William Jefferson Clinton? And you guys hate him!

No? Why's that? Because there's nothing to be gained from the tediousness. Just stop. It insults our intelligence.

Because calling him “he who shall not be middle-named” is too cumbersome…

Now, please answer mine.

This occurs to me as I read this thread. Is calling him Barack Obama more cumbersome than calling him Barack Hussein Obama?

The difference here is that calling Obama "Hussein" isn't going after the uneducated vote, its misleading the uneducated into thinking Obama is a terrorist.

That is exactly right. McCain may already have a lock on the uneducated vote.:D

I have heard educated (well, that's what I had thought) people say, "He's a Muslim, his middle name is Hussein."

To reiterate - Obama's middle name is not being used because it's small-minded not to; not because "the media doesn't use it". It's fear-mongering, whether admitted or not. For those who say not, we will, as they say, agree to disagree.

And unfortunately, it works on some percentage of the voters. I do give credit to McCain and Palin for putting themselves above it.

Agree on both counts.

 We will just have to agree to disagree about B. Hussein Obama. My real issue with Obama is that I believe him to be a socialist who believes firmly that the ends justify the means. I want to know what kind of educational reforms he made while running the Annenberg Challenge with Bill Ayers. I want to know if educational reform in Obama's mind (as defined by his actions) means the same thing to him as it does to his friend Ayers and Ayers' friend Hugo Chavez.

Obama and his supporters seem to prefer discussing the use of Obama's middle name over his socialist associations and voting record, so I am performing a service by giving them an issue that they are comfortable with discussing. Maybe in return, some of them will try to explain why Obama has surrounded himself with so many America-hating socialists throughout his adult life and why people like Bill Ayers, Louis Farrakhan. Jeremiah Wright, Khalid al Mansour, Rashid Khalidi, and many other controversial characters have supported Obama over many years?

That is exactly right. McCain may already have a lock on the uneducated vote.:D

Again, it may be strategy to let the "bubba" vote feed off of this. He hasn't said it himself. But O is killing on the uneducated vote. Which candidate has donated over $800,000 to ACORN. ACORN is now being investigated in 13 states for voter fraud. They are mostly signing up the uneducated and the dead. Who do you think is playing to the uneducated more?

When did McCain or Palin say this? If a few people at his rally's say it what can he do?

Yes it is, but then I told you why I called him that. It had zero to do with his name and everything to do with the media.

Take a look back at some old threads and you will see that I did exactly that. :thumb:

mcpapa makes a good point. Typing "Barack Hussein Obama" does take some effort. That is why I decided to refer to the Democratic socialist candidate as either "Obama," "B. Hussein Obama," or simply "BHO."

UKPat02, pigman, Habib and myself...make that four people here who are concerned about the "kill him!" comment that has been shouted at McCain/Palin rallies.

I am concerned that the man might have been an Obama plant. The lunatic Code Pink member who disrupted the Republican convention showed up at a very expensive Obama fundraiser a few weeks later.

Honestly, do Obama's supporters believe that of the thousands of people attending Obama rallies that similar things are not shouted? Considering that 90 percent of the national media will be casting votes for Obama, do you think that they might just be looking at the McCain-Palin crowds with a more critical eye?

Yes. Why, then, do McCain and Palin not say...."now wait a minute...that type of behavior...that type of rhetoric is not only going to turn away some people, it is morally wrong...we will NOT condone commets like that as part of our campaign message."

Instead, they keep letting them say it. This bothers me. "Kill him!" Really????????

You have the link so I can read it?
