Dixie I believe...

This is news to me, wow. Last I heard the Blue and White Colonels were on his list and not the Red and White.

He is only a 7th grader, I just dont see him playing up to JV or HS nor do I think he is ready. I think he could play frosh ball and be very good and I do think he will be a very good HS baller but as for right now I just dont see this.

Definitely Dixie and it's pretty much a done deal - Allegedly. He has grown some - maybe 5' 9"?

He is a 7th grader but I believe that he repeated a grade so freshman ball wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

Campbell Co High School is hosting the 5th annual Camel Fall Classic basketball tournament for boys grade 4-8. The tournament will be held at Campbell Co Middle School November 22 and 23. Pool Play with top teams from each division going into a single elimination tournament. Guarantee of a minimum of three games. Divisions to be determined by committee based upon entries. Trophies will be awarded for the winning team in each grade. Grades 6-8 will consist of a school team division and a separate select division if we have enough select teams. Will try and work around other conflicts but there is no guarantee that scheduling will allow. Entry fee of $125.00 per team. Multiple teams discounts available by calling (859)-781-4352 or email [email protected]. Registration deadline is November 10th. For further information call 781-4352, visit http://www.eteamz.com/camels or email to [email protected].

I agree with you on that. He is a great shooter and has very good one on one moves. He is pure playground style and gets the ball in the hoop. I can see him being a very good player at Dixie in the future. You put him with Zeke Pike in a couple years and they will have a solid team. Although he could be one of those kids who's dad ends up getting transferred or a job in Georgetown in a few years.

Hatton has played D1 ball the past 4/5 yrs and Nationally so he should be able to handle older kids who are much taller and quicker.

We are working on filling up our schedule with tournaments. Does anyone know of any tourneys in the NKY area for the weekend of 12/6 and 12/7? Thanks

BCI is having the "Tip Off Classic" that weekend.

Any reports from the Highlands Tourney?

In the 5th grade group the Suns beat Omega by 8 and then the Tar Devils but I am not sure what the margin was. Omega also beat the Legends as did the Tar Devils. The semis have the Suns playing the legends and Omega against the Tar Devils.

In the 6th grade division it will be Omega against the team from Highlands in the finals.

How did the big kid for the Suns look?

He looked good against Omega although he only had 6 points. The little guard #25 had a very good game.

Left handed gaurd is Logan Turner, is that the one your talking about? I heard they picked up a kid from the Wolfpack as well.

Yes, the left handed guard had about 18 points.

Omega beats Tar Devils and Suns beat the Legends in semis setting up a Suns victory over Omega in the finals in the 5th grade division.

The Omega 6th graders win their division with ease.
