How many football players are they expecting once that season ends?

Joe Franzen, Corey Cox are 2 that I know of, both sophomores.

The Camels will need an injury free season from there starters if they are going to succeed.

Is this Ben's brother?

Rumor has it that Rebholz and Geiman want to concentrate on football. They would both see some time on the hardwood if they pursued it this year. I am not even sure if they did any thing basketball related since the end of last year.

Lets wait and see what really happens when football is over for the Camels. Wouldnt be a bit suprised if these kids who want to focus on football come out and still play. Take Luke Maile for example. haha

I know for a fact that Rebholz is sitting out this season.

Are you so sure?

Yep, that's what his mom said this past weekend.... :sssh:

I am guessing most kids just assume they know who the team will be, not as many kids try out. CCHS freshman teams have been oustanding recently, now this year there will hardly be enough for a JV team with less and less continuing in basketball

I am really surprised to hear Nate gieman isn't playing hoops. The size of that school a d to only have ten kids on the roster is baffling.

Like you qryche, I'll be stunned if it turns out they only have 10 JV/Varsity kids on their roster?? Are those posting this sure they aren't awaiting some footballers, kids coming back from injuries, etc.? For a school with what about 750 boys, to have only 10 kids and having to use eighth graders on their frosh team is indeed baffling???? Coach Code is more demanding than their past few coaches, but not that difficult to play for; and gives them a much better chance to win as well?

Campbell County does not have to use 8th graders on the Freshman team. They choose to in order to benefit the entire program.

A lot of schools do that. I know Scott has in the past. It helps show them what the program is like, and keeps players from leaving to other high school from their feeder schools. I think it is very smart.

You make a good point, but to be clear....even if they play an eight grader in varsity, that student still can leave and go play anywhere they want to go.
