September 23, 200818 yr Or did the Giants prove they can play a lousy game? Did you watch the game? The Giants didn't play all that lousy.
September 23, 200818 yr I, for one, just don't really want any team to win except for the Bengals, unless it benefits my team. I just see it as not being a true fan of a team if you have multiple favorite teams in one league. Same here. One team and one team only for me.
September 23, 200818 yr Did you watch the game? The Giants didn't play all that lousy. No, I was in Gatlinburg. So they played somewhat lousy?

September 23, 200818 yr No, I was in Gatlinburg. So they played somewhat lousy? Not really. The Bengals just played a good game. Is it that hard to grasp? The Giants pass defense was weak at times, but the Bengals have a good passing offense when Palmer has time. Palmer stood in against the blitz and made some nice throws.
September 23, 200818 yr Three weeks in there are several teams that haven't lost a game, that doesn't mean they will all make the playoffs. 2 of the 3 almost definitely will in Tennesee and the Giants. The Ravens I will give you. I don't think they will make the playoffs, however they have started off this year really well. Your just whole thing about the Bengals being as bad as the Rams, Chiefs, etc is way off IMO.
September 24, 200818 yr You root for them when they are playing anyone but your favorite team. For example, in the P&R forum, I root for Habib to win every argument, except when he is against me. I just saw this. Hilarious.
September 24, 200818 yr Side note. I saw Peko the other day at a stop light and had a brief conversation with him. Towards the end of the conversation he asked me "Are you coming to watch us play the Giants?" I had to tell him the game was in NY. He looked stunned. IMHO the Bengals will not come any closer to winning until all the players can figure out what stadium they are supposed to be at.

The Giants pass defense was weak at times, but the Bengals have a good passing offense when Palmer has time. Palmer stood in against the blitz and made some nice throws. Yes. Point is, with how good the Giants D is supposed to be and how lousy the Bengal O line has been, how in the world did Palmer have time? That is indeed really hard to grasp since I've watched all the preseason games and regular season games up until this game. All I can say is the Giants must have had a really off day.

Palmer had zero time to throw, and he still made plays. Does that help any???
September 24, 200818 yr Palmer had zero time to throw, and he still made plays. Does that help any??? That tells me the Giants aren't as good at pass D as I thought.
September 24, 200818 yr That tells me the Giants aren't as good at pass D as I thought. Then you are reading wrong. The Giants were all over Palmer, and he made the plays to keep it close...
September 24, 200818 yr Palmer had zero time to throw, and he still made plays. Does that help any??? Palmer did get sacked 6 times, but there were quite a few plays where he had plenty of time. The Giants live and die by the blitz. Sometimes their blitzes did not work. It seemed to me that when they blitzed Kenny Phillips or Aaron Ross, they didn't work at all. Phillips and Ross seemed to get there late giving Palmer extra time to find the open man. However, many times even when they did get to Palmer, he made plays. Palmer played great Sunday, as did Housh....I can't spell his name.
