The Birds will not struggle against Cov Cath even without Clint and Josh. The Cov Cath Defense gave up 40+ points to a Dixie offense that would not have crossed midfield if the Birds 1st team D had not left the field tonight.

Based on what I saw tonight, no they won't. Head and Fennell ran the ball extremely, extremely well.

As other's have said, this game could've been much, much worse. I was impressed to see Dixie not quit. They could've thrown in the towel early, but they kept battling until the end. They showed a lot of heart.

 

This year's Highlands' team is your typical Highlands' team. They're fast, disciplined, and they hit. I will have to say that I wasn't really impressed with the passing game. The receivers were wide open all night long, but the passes were eiher underthrown or overthrown.

No he did not get hurt in the game.

 

Why would you say that? Fennell and Head did great! I think Alford got a few touches and gained yardage. Passing game looked good, with a lot more down field attempts than previous, with quite a bit of success.

It was good to see Will Bardo get to throw the ball in the second half, other than just handing it off as he did in the Holmes game.

 

All in all, a very good effort.

He is pretty much a Highlands historian. Our children will be looking back at his statistics and the tradition will continue.:banana:

 

Therefore, he is not at the games watching from week to week and knowing what alot of us are seeing at practices and games. It is up to us to keep him informed.

For some reason, they don't show many Highlands games in North Carolina!!!!!

 

Seriusly though, I rely heavily (and am very grateful) for LN and Henry521's posts and PM week to week, along with the insights provided by all the BGP HHS faithful!!

 

The only point I was trying to make is that I would feel best if HHS entered the CovCath game with all the horses ready to run! I know that on paper it seems that CCH will struggle trying to stop the HHS offense, but we all know that strange things can happen in this rivalry!
