September 14, 200818 yr About what I expected. I think OSU might need to stick to the freshman at QB.
September 14, 200818 yr Weird to say this, but this game wasn't as close as the score indicated...if USC stays full throttle they likely win 56 - 3.
September 14, 200818 yr Weird to say this, but this game wasn't as close as the score indicated...if USC stays full throttle they likely win 56 - 3. Easily.
September 14, 200818 yr Any word on USC's white horse the Trojan rides ? I heard it was having some pretty rough cramps towards the end of the game from running laps around the stadium after a touchdown. Expect to hear from PETA soon.
September 14, 200818 yr FIGHT ON! This game was not as close as the score indicated. The Trojans left some plays on the field, started cruising midway through the 3rd, and had the reserve eschelons in with 8 minutes left. I am just amazed at how the USC O-line (which graduated 4 guys) mashed the OSU d-line and linebackers. Did anybody see Sanchez try and block Lauranaitis in the 3rd? There's a QB you wanna play for. Now, if they can just avoid any egg-laying in Pac-10 play, they'll be in Miami in January.
September 14, 200818 yr Congrats to all the USC fans on BGP. USC is a football machine and the best team won tonight and beat the Buckeyes in every phase of the game (including coaching). This is the 2nd week in a row that the OSU offensive line was dominated by the other team. USC's D had them back peddling all night. For me the most disappointing thing is that the Buckeye offense is getting zero leadership from anyone. That has to change. As a OSU fan I am disappointed in the beat down but the sun will come up again tomorrow (it just won't be as bright). All the Buckeyes can do is go back to work and focus on winning the conference championship. We will see how they react after getting their tails beat.
September 14, 200818 yr About what I expected. I think OSU might need to stick to the freshman at QB. Terrelle Pryor would definitely be their best bet at QB. Todd Boeckman looked like a little girl out there tonight. He has always been known to choke in the big game and that's exaclty what he did. Pryor looked cool and calm in the pocket and hardly made any mistakes passing or throwing. What are they waiting for?????
September 14, 200818 yr Author Yes, I started this thread and will give credit to where it is due...the USC Trojans. Ohio State got completely whipped on the line of scrimmage tonight (both sides of the ball). I thought that Boeckman cost us as well but then again with the way we were dominated on the line I don't know. Pryor gave tOSU more than one dimension imo and USC couldn't just pin back and go after him with a rush like they did Boeckman. Wells being out hurt OSU but was not the reason for the loss by any stretch, the Buckeyes got whipped, plain and simple. USC has many weapons on "O" and is very good on "D" as well. USC will be in the NC game and probably vs. Oklahoma or Georgia. JMO Coach Tressel now has the job of getting his team back up for a Big10 title run and to hopefully run the table the rest of the way out and get to another BCS bowl. Congrats to any "true" USC fans on bgp. As for the haters...go ahead and have your fun, I am sure that makes you feel better . Enjoy it anti OSU people, not a thing I can say about it. My Buckeyes got beat and were beaten badly......no excuses or whining here. As always.............GO Buckeyes!! Edited September 14, 200818 yr by oldrambler
September 14, 200818 yr Glad to see USC get the win... They're about the only team other than UK that I ever find myself rooting hard for... And I don't know why.
September 14, 200818 yr Boeckman to me is a joke. He had a solid year last season, but Pryor needs to be the guy at QB. Without Wells this team isn't going to be much. Penalties killed the Buck's. Way to many to keep them in a game like this. The D played well at times, but at others they looked pitiful. To me they could have won this game with a healthy Beanie and Pryor at QB. This could be a dangerous team with those two things playing every game. Hats off to USC, IMO this years national champs.
September 14, 200818 yr The play of the game was TD reception by Robiskie that got called back by a hold.......not saying USC wouldn't have rolled, but that would have made it 14-10 and made it interesting...

I agree. Not making any excuses at all but it could have made it a different game. It would have been 14-10, but instead it got to 21-3 quick.
September 14, 200818 yr A lot of us called this beating on the prediction thread. No surprise here. tOSU will still win their share of games and wouldn't surprise me if they won the Big 10. As for USC, it's only the 2nd game of the season, but they stay focused, they could beat everyone on their schedule like this.
