Isler 3 TD passes and 16-25 for 342 yards.

 

Isler was just about 20 yards short of Josh Bleser (06) record of 355 yards of Passing in a game!

To give you an idea of the CovCath Coaching staff today! How on your own field, does your coaching staff cause your team a delay of game penalty to start off the 2nd half, because you don't come out of the locker room in time?????

This was an embarassment. In all the years I have been following high school football, I have never seen the home team or any team in the locker room when the official blows the whistle to start the second half. O-line is pass blocking very well. They also did a nice job in the second half with Dixie wearing down on run blocking. Highlands, Elder, and a few others will not wear down. Defense, I will take the advise of the TOG's mom. The positive is CCH is 2-1. They were 0-3 last year at this time. Good luck against the Eagle's this Fri.

What about putting Van Sant in the conversation for Mr.Football? I haven't seen a player this year that is better then he is.

Agree with you on the defensive side. On the offense, CovCath has a number of lethal weapons. VanSant is a special athlete anyway.:banana:

Anyone thinking that CovCath is only going to score 7 points against HHS probably needs to lay off the sauce. It seems clear that CCH's offense has shown steady improvement over the first three games... the team has all the elements in place OFFENSIVELY (solid QB play, a big, powerful offensive line, a quality RB and a talented group of receivers) to be a team of consequence this year. It does sound like the defense needs to get some things sorted out, though.

You can't win in the playoffs with a defense that gives up 50+ pts, 34 pts, and 47 pts. Is it time for CCH to look into some offensive players going both ways? I know that there were a lot of kids cramping up due to the heat. The heat will start letting up soon, and you need to stop giving up so many points. It is a good thing that the offense is going so well.

CCH has taken advantage of weak pass Ds. I'm not sure HHS falls into that category.
