And yes, they block well to let others catch the onside if need be!!!!!

I listened to the broadcast again. Halpin(OL), Couch(OL), Gray(DL), Thaxton(OL), Geisen were on the "hands" team .

All the defensive coaches have multiple years at coaching HS football and 3 played college football.

 

Yes the D-coordinator is strong and yes they are all legit defensive guys.

 

The players are not executing the scheme, which is the same scheme that won the '06 State Championship.

I'm not a coach as I've stated previously. However, I find it interesting that its 100% on the players from your perspective and 0% on the coaches. Actually I've never heard a coaching staff place the blame solely on the players. Its that "win as a team lose as a team" mentality.

They haven't shown it much yet.... they did make some crucial stops in the 2nd half last week.

 

Overall, it has been minimal....maybe they are not as good as parents think.....

So a system should work for ALL teams? Doesn't it have to fit personnel? If CCH had a state championship team that ran the option and now the next Dan Marino shows up you say they should continue to run the option?
