CCH has taken advantage of weak pass Ds. I'm not sure HHS falls into that category.

Easy. I didn't state anything that was inaccurate. CCH's passing O has looked good by getting the ball into the hands of playmakers against teams that are not strong defensively. Unless you're telling me that you think HHS' D is as soft as NC's and Dixie's you are wearing blinders if you think that we should expect the same results against Highlands. All I can go on is 1 game of no output against a strong team and 2 games of big output against teams with suspect pass D.

Are you telling me that the 4 or 5 linemen that they named on the broadcast that were on the front line actually were NOT on the field?

You still haven't disproved the point that CCH has not fared well against a good D. I'm excited to see the offense take advantage of the other teams' weak areas but its not something we can count on. Why do we think the real offense is the one that showed up the last 2 weeks and not the one that showed up against the one good D they've played? I hope you're right. I can only use logic. Maybe you're closer and know more than I do so I look forward to hearing your views.

They have only played 3 games.....what can I say??

 

Mooney is better than Highlands, more size and more speed; they have won 57-14 and 17-0 over an OH DI school that Elder beat in the state finals earlier in this decade.

 

From what I heard, the players were nervous in Week 1 going against such an unknown; they have obviously gotten better offensively.

 

The defense is obviously struggling; it is not the fault of the coaches; they are preparing the kids as good as any HS staff could.

 

Right now HHS is a favorite 2 weeks from now, but I see the coaches putting in the time and effort every day.

 

It upsets me to hear what I heard today from the crowd; I have had enough; their "little Johnnies" are not performing defensively, and it is not helping by what they are voicing.

 

If they were real men, they would voice their concerns to the staff personally, not from a random voice from the crowd and certainly not from behind a screen name on the internet.

 

I see my son struggling with what he is hearing and it really bothers me because it is 100% inaccurate about the staff.

I answered the question completely accurately.

 

First of all, it is not O-lineman.

 

It is a mix of TE, LB, and I think 1 DL; regardless, I have seen them work on it in practice repeatedly and they have skilled hands---period.

 

And yes, they block well to let others catch the onside if need be!!!!!

 

I don't know who caught it today, but it was fielded cleanly and without incident.

All the defensive coaches have multiple years at coaching HS football and 3 played college football.

 

Yes the D-coordinator is strong and yes they are all legit defensive guys.

 

The players are not executing the scheme, which is the same scheme that won the '06 State Championship.
