Missing first Beechwood game :(

Featured Replies

I am going to miss my first Beechwood game in many years. Please tell me that the sun will rise tomorrow and they will be just fine without my air horn cheering them on . Seriously, I know some of you will be at the game so could you make a quick post to let me know how it goes/went? My son graduated last year so I know I need to get a life that doesn't revolve around Friday night football. But, I sure love the game!!!!

SPARKEY, it is great to be a fan and I have done it for 25 years. You will survive I promise. JD

We'll try to keep you posted here on BGP. :thumb:

Well, at least we now know who to blame if this does not happen :p

They're not playing NCC so they'll probably win, don't worry.

A life that doesn't revolve around friday night football isn't much of a life now is it?

Convinced my Mom to go to the game for me. She just called, BW 41-0 in the second quarter. I'm a little surprised that Dayton is giving up so many points.

P.S. Don't worry I won't miss the Newcath game!!!

Sparkey - Thanks for the update. If you get another, please put it in the Beechwood/Dayton update thread for us. :thumb:

Sparkey you could have gone to bed early tonight. I dont think Dayton has a prayer against the Beechies. Name your score brother.

I'm right there with you, Spark. I'm having the same sort of withdrawal. It's weird to go to the game, and it's even stranger to be home! After having someone on that field for the past 8-9 years, I think I may need some medication! I think it will take a few weeks, and then the 'new normal' will begin to sink in!

Are you sure you don't have that backwards?

The last time I checked ... the Tigers have a "commanding" lead overall in the series.

Just think ... the closest that they have been is in this decade .. and the Red and White Tigers are still 8-6 against the Breds.

If that isn't good enough for you .... I will take a few hours and count all of the wins that Beechwood had over NCC in the 90's .....

I hear you slick.

I am still trying to decide if NCC is just a flash in the pan. LOL j/k

All kidding aside NCC has really come on this decade.

Ahh, the memories of my first BW game - darn good ones.

You put way too much time into what was obviously a joke. :thumb:

I hear you brother!

NCC has done a great job ..... and they should be commended ... but I think that 98 has spent so much time patting himself on the back ... that he dislodged his train of thought!

Here's to another great game this year ... good luck to the Breds until we get there.
