September 12, 200818 yr No way. Maroney is going to get way more carries now that Brady is down, and they will become a running offense.
September 12, 200818 yr I wouldn't take it. Palmer is going to get it going eventually, I think this week he will. Then Boldin he is still going to put up good numbers, and Maroney should get the ball more now that Brady is hurt. Rogers has only proved himself one game so far, so that would be a gamble. Vincent Jackson is the second best receiver on his team IMO to Chris Chambers. Plus they have LT and Gates. So he will put up decent numbers but not great IMO. Jonathan Stewart will be splitting time all year with Williams. So I think you would be getting the worst of it, with this trade. Carson Palmer kool aid anyone?
September 12, 200818 yr Palmer was not a good fantasy QB last year and I believe he had zero fantasy points this past week in some leagues... A lot of Bengal fans give Carson a free pass, myself included, but he is gonna have to perform this year.. on a really bad team. Palmer will struggle. I had Brady starting and he went down early and still scored more points then my opponent's QB who was Palmer. Hahaha.
September 12, 200818 yr Carson Palmer kool aid anyone? If he gets time he will be just fine. Last week he had no time and receivers couldn't get open. Even though Titans defense is good, he will have a good week this week.
September 12, 200818 yr If he gets time he will be just fine. Last week he had no time and receivers couldn't get open. Even though Titans defense is good, he will have a good week this week. We shall see. He's just not as good as he was the year he got hurt. He may never be. I don't see the line getting better any time soon. I hope he doesn't get badly injured.
September 13, 200818 yr I think Maroney will be getting a lot more touches with Cassel at the helm. I also think, although I'm down on Carson Palmer, that it is too early to give up on him. Rodgers is enticing because they throw so much, but Palmer has the potential to be the top fantasy quarterback this year. Stick with Carson & Maroney.
September 13, 200818 yr Author I think Maroney will be getting a lot more touches with Cassel at the helm. I also think, although I'm down on Carson Palmer, that it is too early to give up on him. Rodgers is enticing because they throw so much, but Palmer has the potential to be the top fantasy quarterback this year. Stick with Carson & Maroney. I've still got Carson. I've just got Rodgers as a backup now.
September 13, 200818 yr I give LT for Marshawn Lynch and T.O.??? I got Chris Johnson, Ryan Grant, and Earnest Graham as my other RB's...
September 13, 200818 yr I think I would consider the above trade since you have some RB depth. If Grant can get that hammy healed, it may be difficult for you to decide who to start at RB every week.
September 13, 200818 yr Who is your current backup QB? I don't think you are getting the best end of the deal. Witten should be a beast this year and I don't think there will be a huge difference FANTASY wise between Warner and Cutler. Matt Cassell, now. :irked: I had a bad draft this year.
September 14, 200818 yr I would receive: Aaron Rodgers, QB Jonathan Stewart, RB Vincent Jackson, WR I would give up: Anquan Boldin, WR Derrick Mason, WR Laurence Maroney, RB At first glance it would appear I'm getting hosed, but my starting QB is Carson Palmer so I feel Rodgers would be an upgrade. I'm giving up some WR depth, which is a concern. Who knows about Maroney? Thoughts? I'm no all the way on this one.
September 14, 200818 yr I'm no all the way on this one. Why? Rodgers has the better supporting cast and with Grant at running back they have a balanced attack where defenses have to defend both which will open up all aspects of the game for Green Bay so Rodgers will flourish IMO. Okay so you give up Boldin thats a hit but I like him giving up Maroney. NE has a healthy Sammy Morris now so hes going to be getting alot more snaps and now that Faulk is back too, Maroney's playing time and touches are going to go WAYYYY down. You get a pretty good WR in return too in Vincent Jackson. He won't put up the numbers like Boldin but he'll be solid for him. I really like the trade IMO. Also Derrick Mason I just don't think having him is all that great especially when you can get a RB with lots of upside in Stewart.
September 14, 200818 yr I say no unless it is a keeper league. You don't even need Rodgers. Palmer is a top tier QB, and they will get their act together. You know that TJ and Chad are going to get their stats and somebody has to throw them the ball. Jonathan Stewart isn't even the Panthers starting RB and at best he will be splitting carries with D. Williams. V. Jackson is the 4th option on the Chargers and they don't even throw the ball that much. You are giving up Boldin who is a top WR and is going to have a solid year. I'm not very high on Maroney, but he will get more carries with Brady out and will be a better fantasy back that Stewart. It would help to see the rest of your team.
