September 11, 200818 yr I would receive: Aaron Rodgers, QB Jonathan Stewart, RB Vincent Jackson, WR I would give up: Anquan Boldin, WR Derrick Mason, WR Laurence Maroney, RB At first glance it would appear I'm getting hosed, but my starting QB is Carson Palmer so I feel Rodgers would be an upgrade. I'm giving up some WR depth, which is a concern. Who knows about Maroney? Thoughts?
September 11, 200818 yr I would probably do it. Maroney is a fantasy killer every year.. he is just not consistent. Rodgers actually may out perform Carson which is terrible for Bengal nation. I would have said 100% yes before Brady, but now they are going to run a lil more. However, Stewart has upside but is in a timeshare. Would Stewart be you 2 back or a sub?

Looks like Kevin Rodgers may be my #2. Or Fargas.
September 11, 200818 yr Rodgers an upgrade over Palmer??? You aren't serious, are you? Palmer was not a good fantasy QB last year and I believe he had zero fantasy points this past week in some leagues... A lot of Bengal fans give Carson a free pass, myself included, but he is gonna have to perform this year.. on a really bad team.

September 11, 200818 yr He would be a sub. Looks like Kevin Rodgers may be my #2. Or Fargas. I think you may have Kevin's last name wrong.. but any RB named Kevin this year is probably not going to be a great #2 and Fargas.. I dont know. Stewart would probably have to play in place of Maroney at your 2 every now and then. I would try to keep Maroney in that case since your #2 is not that great.. maybe try to trade a few WR's for Rodgers, or Delhome or maybe Kitna.

September 11, 200818 yr I'm very serious. Based on what, how Rodgers played against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL?

I'm not saying Palmer was a great fantasy QB, because unfortunately he's not, but Aaron Rodgers and his 1 whole game as a starter? I don't buy that for one second.

Rather have a QB who is going to win his division than one who will probably finish last and have no motivation down the stretch, like 07 for Palmer.
September 11, 200818 yr Author Based on what, how Rodgers played against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL? No, how Palmer fared against the 20th rated pass defense.
September 11, 200818 yr No, how Palmer fared against the 20th rated pass defense. Ed Reed, Chris McAllister, and Samari Rolle when healthy are a whole heck of a lot better than 20th in the league. If you're using last year's ranking, as I was, that will be skewed for Baltimore because of the numerous injuries they had.
September 11, 200818 yr I'd do the trade as Fargas is a pretty good fantasy RB and had a great year last year and had a pretty solid start getting 10 points for me the other day. They have already talked about it about Maroney. His playing time is going to start to dwindle as the Patriots have a healthy Sammy Morris. I'd do the trade, and start Rodgers and start Fargas at QB and RB. Fargas, IMO, will have the better year. It also helps when it seems McFadden has some sort of shoulder injury, if you were watching the Monday night game, so it means more touches and more snaps for Fargas, therefore most liekly translating into more points for you. Thats just my opinion though, take it for what you will.
