No one had posted anything, so I thought I would...

After a couple of weeks of not playing due to cancellations the freshman Rocks faced the Floyd Central (IN) JV's on Monday, winning 14-0. The Rock defense was stifling. Offensively, they were lead by touchdown passes by Mitchell Cunningham and Jackson Noe, both to WR Nathan Stein.

The Rocks are in action again Thursday at home versus Butler. Game time is 5:30pm.

Is Nathan Stein related to Will Stein, last year's QB?

Why cancelled games?

Why cancelled games?

One was because of the tragedy at PRP. Don't know about the other(s).

From what I heard, and I could be wrong, the Central game was moved to the end of the season. Evansville Reitz cancelled b/c of schedule conflict (mix up in their athletic office), then obviously the PRP game was cancelled. They scheduled Floyd Central and Providence to fill in the gaps. Providence then cancelled.

You know Louisville schools should quit scheduling with Evansville Reitz....it seems every year in baseball they cancel for some cockamamey reason, now they're doing it football because of a "mix up in their athletic office"....Puuleezze!! My guess is their freshmen are down and the athletic office didn't think they could compete with the Rocks.

Did Trinity play juniors on their freshman team???????? Ha ha ha :jump:

That is precious. From now on let that be our calling card. Whatever happens can all be placed at their feet.

No, but they were very lucky.

Male, Manual, Ballard, Eastern, all of the Oldhams have said no? Highlands? Cathedral? Colerain? LaSalle?

I wonder about this too....if I remember back in the day (20+ years ago)...whomever Varsity played that week (JV & Freshman) did the same.

The schools in Trinity's district will not schedule subvarsity football games. I have heard that Butler and PRP took some grief for scheduling them. Manual refuses to play at all levels recently. I honestly have no clue about the OOT schools you mentioned

For a few years Trinity scheduled Male but at the last minute they would cancel. That happened at least three years in a row that I'm aware of. Trinity finally said why bother.

There are only two teams that play Trinity at all three levels this season. PRP would have, but cirumstances dictated otherwise. Butler and the local Xaverian school. The Ohio teams usually fill their schedules quite easily. Northern KY has a league. Of course if the Poplar Level folks would agree to play twice a season as they did back in Tony Danza's day, that would help...but that's another thread for another day.:fire:
