Why not? Polls are meant to be fluid. Most of the early season rankings are based upon who is returning, performance last season, etc. You never really get a sense of where a team should be until they are on the field. Ohio State looked bad last week against Ohio. They dropped in the polls, despite winning the game.

 

If your team continues to win, it sorts itself out.

You can if their win is of little significance, when compared to a toughly played loss to a superior opponent. It's all relative.

I know I said on the field. I now know that Ohio, Indiana and all other states are included when talking about Kentucky high school football. Sorry.

I know that the number of members from a school has no bearing on where a team is ranked. The people doing the rankings are knowledgeable people, when it comes to football, as well as other subjects. They do not rank teams based on discussion from members, they rank teams based on performance and expectations.

I do not understand the rankings either BG got shutout by 17 in a monsoon so had the weather been better it may have been 40-0 who knows. Owensboro beat one of the best and defending state champs from Indiana so maybe they should be higher. I think the polls are just something you look at in the bathroom and use in case you run out of TP.:lol:

 

As for the best team in the state: until you guys move up and play in 6A with the big boys there is no argument who the best team in the state is. T or X will always be until you beat them or play in their class. You may be the best team in 5A but you will have to move up one more level and win state titles to stake claim to best in the state.

I too believe Christian County should be in the top 10, but I also believe they have an opportunity to bounce back up into the top 10 in the next 3 or 4 weeks.

 

One thing to keep in mind is that unlike college football, it doesn’t make a difference whether your team is ranked #1 or #32, the only thing that truly matters is what happens on the field… But it does make for BGP fodder
