September 9, 200818 yr Have you been to BBC yet? Bison burger with garlic fries, and some beer (my personal favorite is the Bourbon Brew)... SO good. Downtown needs to improve the service. Ever since it switched owners the wait staff is just not that good and or friendly.
September 9, 200818 yr Other places to try: Genny's Diner: Probably the best place in Louisville to have a heart attack. To bad it "burned down again" Stoney River is WONDERFUL!!!
September 9, 200818 yr I find the Wendy's at the corner of Bardstown and Grinstead to be the best Wendy's in the city... come on, I'm on a budget here. I love Mexican food. When I'm in my neighborhood, I like Los Aztecas on Bardstown Road. Out toward the neighborhood I grew up in, I like El Nopal near the corner of Goose Creek Road and Westport. The chile relleno is a personal favorite at both, as are the nachos fajita.
September 9, 200818 yr I've been to Impellizari's once every two weeks since they opened up here in the Highlands. I haven't noticed any changes. We've ordered tons of pizza's, several of the pasta dishes and a few salads thrown in to ease our consciences. The only downside to Impellizari's is the wait to get your pizza, but with good friends the time flies, and the food is always worth the wait. They have just opened a new one on Hwy-22 at Holiday Manor! I am going to gain some weight.
September 9, 200818 yr I don't even know where to begin with this one... Exactly, Louisville is blessed with many nice restaurants in a city it's size. Louisville has a couple of things going for it that contribute to good restaurants and chef's. One is Sullivan's which is one of the 5 top culinary schools in the counrty and second would be the UPS air hub which enables us to have the freshest seafood and ingredients possible. My wife and I eat out way too often but it sure is fun.
September 9, 200818 yr They have just opened a new one on Hwy-22 at Holiday Manor! I am going to gain some weight. I will be in Louisville this weekend. Are you telling me that this pizza is better than Wicks?
September 9, 200818 yr I like El Nopal near the corner of Goose Creek Road and Westport. I will be there for dinner this evening.
September 9, 200818 yr Have we all forgotton Ruth Chris......best steak in the world, but you pay a good price for it. Pizza......Wicks! Everytime I get to Louisville I have to have a Wicks fix! The steak is awesome
September 9, 200818 yr The English Grill at the Brown. Finest rack of lamb in the city, and they serve real scotch, not the swill you get in most places.
September 9, 200818 yr We will be visiting Louisville this weekend and staying on Cypress Station Drive. What is the best pizza located around there...preferably that delivers?
September 9, 200818 yr The English Grill at the Brown. Finest rack of lamb in the city, and they serve real scotch, not the swill you get in most places. The menu's changing Wednesday...I'm not sure what's on it, but I hear it's a FABULOUS menu. The scotch is still the same!
September 9, 200818 yr We will be visiting Louisville this weekend and staying on Cypress Station Drive. What is the best pizza located around there...preferably that delivers? They don't deliver but you could always go to the Oxmoor Mall for some California Pizza Kitchen.

September 10, 200818 yr Paradise Cafe is excellent and Rocky's right on the river. Rocky's isn't really in the ville but right across river and you can sit outside checking out the Louisville skyline.
September 10, 200818 yr They don't deliver but you could always go to the Oxmoor Mall for some California Pizza Kitchen. I don't think they like me there...they think I'm strange. It all has to do with fungi.
