September 10, 200818 yr What are restaurants that I have to try up here? I have been to a lot, but it seems like every day or so I hear of something new. Some of my favorites from before I lived here are: Equus - The Sea Bass is awesome and depending on mood this is my favorite restaurant in Louisville. Pat's Steakhouse - Probably the best steak in town. Jack Fry's - Simply the best, if I could afford it I'd visit at least once a week. My Havana Rumba - I LOVE this place, could eat there everyday, especially the Cubano. Bristol - Their wine list is awesome. Food is great too. Wagner's Pharmacy - I go to the track a lot and this place is awesome...super cheap too. Lynn's Paradise Cafe - Great breakfast, drinks are pricey though and it's too crowded. Mike Linnings - It's way out there, but the set up and food are both great. Here are some I've discovered since I moved up here. Kashmir - Cheap and good. I DO go here about once a week. Shiraz - The Mahi Kebab is awesome. Come Back Inn - Perhaps my favorite place I've found that I didn't know about before. El Mundo - Great fish taco. Palermo Viejo - Get the steak, probably the best value on a steak in town. And don't worry, it doesn't compromise on taste at all. Irish Rover - MUCH better than Molly Malone's, O'Shea's, or Flannigan's for Irish food. Avalon - Get the Lobster Truffle Mac and Cheese...you won't regret it. So let's hear some thoughts from BGP land. I went to the Irish Rover last summer and let's just say I lost enough bodily fluids to fill a small farm pond. I wasn't very impressed with the restaurants up there.

I hope the dining choices in Frankfort Avenue haven't been written about in national magazines. If they were, I would assume that the critics were drunk and didn't know what they were writing about, which is a good possibility.

Volare is good, Porcini is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. Bourbon's Bistro is excellent as well.

September 10, 200818 yr Paradise Cafe is excellent and Rocky's right on the river. Rocky's isn't really in the ville but right across river and you can sit outside checking out the Louisville skyline. There is a Rocky's next to Springhurst Shopping Center now as well. Great food.

I found a listing for Impellizzari's on Vieux Carre Dr. It is very close to our hotel. By any chance are there any coupons in Louisville papers for Impellizzari"s?
