Wow, I was way off in my prediction for this game. I only had Ashland winning by a small margin. Was ashland that good tonight or is Pikeville just that bad?

 

I lost count how many time Pikeville turned the ball over. However Ashland took control of the game early and didn't look back. They were clicking both on offense and defense.

Pikeville had like 7 or 8 turnovers and Ashland took advantage. Dom DeMartino was impressive tonight he had 3 TDs, 2 fumble recoveries, and a couple of tackles for loss. Overall Ashland looked pretty solid but they need to keep improving.

The margin suprises me but the Tomcats winning doesn't. I thought it would be a close game that maybe could go either way. I picked Ashland by 2 or 3pts. I believe. Ashland has a good football team.

 

Class 5A District 6 is really going to be competitive this year. Johnson Central is solid and Bryan Station seems to be back. Woodford County always has a good team and you can't count out Montgomery County. Ashland might be on the way to proving they can make a run in the district. The district winner might have a district loss this season. It may go down to the last week of district games.

As I said somewhere earlier, these aren't last year's Tomcats.

Folks Ashland is good, no one seems to understand that. This will not be their last win. The game with Raceland was a dog fight, and now they destroyed a solid Pikeville team.

Thanks. :thumb: Carter had a couple of good runs outside. But, he also had one costly fumble right after our D made a goal line stand - gave it right back to Pikeville and the D had to hold them a second time in the red zone. His outside runs seemed to be pay back for his mistake (he needed to make it up to the team).

 

The T-cats kept it between the tackles most of the night.
