I hate too break to yeah DC but Lynn Camp was put on the sch so HCHS could start off with a good track ( a Win ) we're already counting it. Sometimes it's good to play a pan cake after getting beat the week before, So I would beware!!!!!

You might want to check your resources before commenting they have a full SCH and I hope we get ahead a lot in the first half because sounds like the the second half will be flooded by tears, lol

Man did Frazier ever have the talent in the early to mid 90's @ Cumberland.

 

Yes he did but unfortuantly Pikeville had more, a lot coming from WV.

Mitchell had to work very hard to get it turned around there. I'm sure 1968isaac will remember the mid 80s game when Cullivan was bringing freshmen in from the stands to play in the second half.

 

Lynn Camp has defeated numerous schools that were bigger during the last 20 years or so, and I know coach Larkey isn't expecting it to be easy.

 

Cullivan bringing freshmen from the stands is a classic. It was A freshmen, when all others was told to stay home. This one just so happened to go and bring his stuff. Imagine that? You just never know do you?

Daddy Cat, mutual respect is observed towards Lynn Camp. No one seriously believes that LC is on the schedule for a win because they were only on there because they were on Cawoods schedule. We are grateful for a game, thanks. Powell County is back on schedule so they have 10 games now. Hoping for a good, injury free game.

 

People should realize that Lynn Camp has always had a powerful schedule, espcially for a school that dresses less than 30 kids. They played Rockcastle County almost 15 times in the past and won some of them, not sure of the overall record. Lynn Camp is respected throughout the mountains and their coaching staff is excellent. One of the greatest games I have ever attended was when Lynn Camp won the region, that was a great game, the excitement was over the roof there that nigt, hopefully it will be the same excited crowd tonight.

I think Powell was added back to the schedule. I can see how you got mixed up, though. The game was a forfeit for a while.

I don't remember if Hillard Howard was still there when Cumberland should have beaten them in 1992.

Harlan County teams did better than most during Howard's run at Pikeville. Evarts ended Pikeville's regional domination in 1990 after they had won three straight Class A state titles. Cumberland beat Pikeville in 1986 in the regional finals on the way to the state championship game.

 

According to khsaa.org, Howard's last championship was in '89. It also said that Ed Miracle took Lynch East Main to eight state championships, winning four.

 

Was Howard one of the first coaches to "throw the ball around" in the mountains? He's still one of the few.

I give up with the trash talking I hope DC have a great day and enjoy seeing his little team playing someone like HCHS. I said alot, but I'm driving down there , and hopefully my car don't over heat, I hope it just a good game!

I appreciate the respect that some of you show us on this thread. I know that Lynn Camp Coaches, Players, and Fans will have the same respect towards your team. Tonight should be a very physical game. Our defense finished last year very strong and last week it picked up where it left off. Our offense sputterd a bit last week and will have to play better this week with less turn overs.

 

I dont know alot about Harlan County except they are made up of Cawood, Cumberland, and Evarts which were a combined 5-16 vs Lynn Camp since 1998. With the consolidation of these 3 schools and the skill players they return Harlan County appears to be a beast.

 

My head tells me this will be close for 3 quarters with Harlan County pulling away late. My Heart tells me Lynn Camp scores late for the win. No one seems to give us a chance to win, but that is the way it always is here at Lynn Camp.

 

I can promise you 2 things HBO669. 1) we are not a pushover. 2) there will be no "crying" if we loose.

 

To all Harlan County fans: Be careful with the journey over, I always hate traveling HWY 119. I will pray that eveyone makes it over ok and that your players as well as ours can play a good un injured game. I hope you have a plesant experience and continue to support us in future games as we will you.
