I don't think Hindu's drove planes into our buildings. If I recall correctly, he's a Christian now, and he is only 37 years old, so he's got a bright future. Him gaining support from conservatives is the least of his problems.

Who do you think voted Bobby Jindal into the Louisiana governor's office? Louisiana Republicans will never be confused with those from New England. If Jindal plays well in the deep south, chances are he will eventually be a nationwide hit.

Barack Obama is the greatest speaker of my following of politics. As far as the substance of the speech, he seemed to delve into just enough of the specifics requisite to found his oracular grandeur. I find it hard to believe the Republican convention will top this and I find it hard to believe McCain will hold if Obama builds on his work tonight.

 

It should be an interesting fall.

I entrust myself in Obama.

 

If Obama wins, and I think he will, especially after this convention because McCain and the Republicans can not come close, and if his term is successful, then I think unless the Democrats really screw up, they will run the White House for a long time.

You can't be serious. This will be a close race, but when the dust settles McCain will be the next president. You are too caught up in the Democratic Convention. The GOP will get their turn next week.

It was an excellent speech. The most poignant moment of the convention for me was when he officially became the Democratic Nominee. Tears welled up in my eyes. I realized that it was a moment in history that I never thought I would see in my life time.

Hey Obama may be our next President for a long time. If he wins the Dems will be able to do anything they want. Ive heard him already more than a few times talk about doing away with term limits. As he stated we already have term limits in what we call elections.

Pat Buchanan says that Obama wrote it. I doubt that anyone except the "insiders" knows for sure.

Doubt any one person wrote it. It's common to have a team put it together and then the politician tweak it to make the speech his/her own. My guess is it's been in draft mode for months.
