Hartline/Cantwell

Featured Replies

Isn't UL down to 2 receivers? That won't help Cantwell.

Two? Chris Vaughn, Josh Chichester, Maurice Clark, Trent Guy, Doug Beaumont, Victor Anderson... To name a few.

Victor Anderson has great hands, they should get him the ball where he can operate in the open field.

I think both coaches would be perfectly content if they didn't have to pass the ball and could still move it effectively.

I really, really hope and pray that UK plays man to man on the corners...that will help Hunter...as far as Hartline....we have no idea?

Depends on why they would be doing that. If UL's running game is creating enough problems that UK has to load the box then I agree, but if UK is manning up because they are sending heat on Cantwell on 3rd and Long after stopping the run game, then it will be Dave Raggone memories for the fans in Red.

He's the kinda guy that if you can get it to him in space, look out.

So there's going to be a bunch of itinerant hippies and backpackers staying overnight on the cheap? That might be the strangest college football environment I'll ever see.

 and I just got choked on my coffee

Cantwell faces a tougher defense but has shown he can play.

Hartline faces a weaker defense but hasn't really played any.

I think the advantage is to Cantwell. You can't replace experience.

I agree!

One advantage Hartline will have....Is playing against UL's secondary.

Don't overestimate our defense...we can probably negate any (dis)advantage U of L has.

Seriously, though, you'd have to think the odds are in Cantwell's favor at this point. He has played, and played well, before. UK's defense is supposed to be improved, but they can be improved and still not be good.

As of now, I'd say both defenses are bad until proven otherwise. Hartline is a question mark along with most of his WR's. Expecting Hartline to have a big day is nothing more than a hunch at this point.

Add Andrew Robinson to the list. The media isn't talking about him but some of the players have mentioned him during the preseason. If he becomes an x factor in this game it won't surprise me one bit.

Especially true at the college level. I would think Cantwell will have the better game.

He's short, but he's ALWAYS been fast and can catch. I still remember when he was a freshmen and ran back the kickoff for a TD against Ballard.

^ I remember a sensational leaping catch at the goaline agaisnt Trinity in '04...

Hunter has a Gator Bowl game under his belt and Mel kiper isn't stupid.

Maybe someone needs to add Cobb to the mix because you will see him.
