Will be leaving the house in about 1.5 hours.....I am very excited....

My last thoughts before heading out....I look for it to be very sloppy, and the team with the fewest mistakes wins...Hopefully that will be Louisville. Go Cards!

We got 2 car loads full and we are leaving Lexington in about 30 minutes and heading to the Pizza Box....GO CATS!!!

After watching some of the performances yesterday, I wonder if punting and punt returning might not be a significant factor. No one seems to have much confidence in their respective offenses.

I do. :thumb:

It should be a fun game...

I don't know how to really pick this game...first game of the year, question marks, etc...

I feel confident in the under for this one...that is about it.

I think UL gets this one by 6.

UK HAS to establish some form of a running game, because at this stage, I don't think Hartline is ready or capable of carrying a team on his arm alone. If they can establish the run, then they can work in some play action pass. If they can't they are going to struggle moving the ball, especially early.

On defense, I think UK will be improved, but how much better? One thing they do have is depth and it is going to be hot.

UL is short in some areas, but they still have some very serviceable parts. Their DL is nice, Cantwell has been around a while...and so forth.

This game could very well come down to turnovers and or someone getting an easy score on special teams.

This is a big game for both. Rivalry game, plus it is one game to get you closer to bowl eligibility and so on.

However, I think this is a even bigger game for UL and Kragthorpe. If they lose this game while being favored, and if it is not a pretty game, it could be ugly for UL and their fans. The culture from afar around the program is particularly acidic with the ugly fall from grace last year and the entire negativity that followed the team into the offseason. Kragthorpe has stood tall and said he is trying to weed the program of its suspect characters. However, a loss today, and the fams will begin to start to chop him at the knees.

A new QB and an away game will be too much for UK to handle.

I hate to say it...UL by 11

UL 21

UK 10

I gather that his thought process is like mine in regards to UofL this year... our offense is our only hope. Our team has a lot to work on, and like last year, our defense will probably make lots of mistakes, even our offense will make some, but with the likes of Cantwell, Brock Bolin, Powell, etc... we have the players to score a lot. Our defense will be on the field much more than our offense will (assuming... er, HOPING they don't let every big play score). So if our defense - which is sloppy - is on the field the majority of the game, then the game will likely be sloppy.

Was my logic on, Deuce?

Even with an unproven QB for UK I don't think the Cards D can hold them under 20.

I hope not. Hartline may impress a lot of people today and I hope that he does, I just haven't seen the guy play once so I'm a little skeptical.

I know UK has a nice running game, but a running game is nothing without a decent passing threat.
