Thanks LN. I am so glad to get settled into the new house and back in the swing of a new football season. I got smart and married a teacher so now I get into all games at the CAGE for free! Good to hear from you.

As soon as she told me she wanted to get married in August, I said it better be in the first weekend because srimmages start the second week. Aug 2nd if that tells you anything. I must say, even though my nephew flew the nest for Murray, I still get that giddy feeling in my gut just talking about football. I look forward to some of these younger kids stepping up and into bigger roles this year. They have paid their dues, it's time to show what they've got.

Don't know for sure, but at the Male scrimmage I saw #53 Cam Dierig, and I believe #31 Tyler Fennell. There may have been more in the rotation, but I seem to recall these two.

 

My son told me that Jarred was at practice yesterday, and had a large wrap on his leg, but was walking OK. Good to hear he is back with the team and back to school.

I also saw the other two guys mentioned before. But the one kid not mentioned was Sophmore Brenden Sullivan. A Linebacker who is a very tough physical kid with a nose for the ball who could settle into the nose position within a couple of weeks. I think with his build and his strength, (which I believe he is top 5 strongest at HHS), this could be a perfect fit for Sully and the Birds. Going to take a little time in teaching him the position but Coaches will take care of that.
