Unsure of the 7th grade score - the coach make substitutions way too liberally. 10 point lead at halftime and you lose the game???? 8th grade held Nussbaum to 17, lol. Lost 42 - 31. In reading the NKMSBL, if you play freshman basketball you are not allowed to play in the league. How does Beechwood get away with it? Why do they?:confused:[/QUOTE] Wow, very interesting. One or the other IMO. Birds have the Beechies next week. Hopefully we can get a legit answer prior to the game but to be honest I would rather play them with Nussbaum. January 19, 200917 yr Highlands has St. Pius on Tuesday at home and Beechwood comes to the Birds nest the following night. Birds already beat St. Pius in a tournament game by 10+ but havent seen the Nussbaum Express yet. I expect this to be a battle. Birds are playing much more aggressively as of late and their man-man is looking really good.
January 20, 200917 yr CC Purple play Newport at CCMS tonight. 7th grade will be missing Geiman (back spasms) and back up point guard. It will be interesting to see how that get the ball up the court. 8th grade needs to play hard and get back to winning before seeing the cake eaters, er, I mean the birds next Monday.:thumb:

They can get up and down the floor. They lack depth.

January 21, 200917 yr Camels Purple 7th and 8th grade both win over Newport. 7th grade game was a 14 point win. Geiman ended up playing. Good defensive effort on the 7th grade group's part! 8th grade game was 48 - 42. Camels let an 11 point lead with 3:30 left dwindle to a 3 point lead within a minute. Camels held on and hit some big shots from the line to seal the deal. Newport gets after it and will be dangerous in the tourney. Good game to watch:thumb:

January 21, 200917 yr Highlands blew out St. Pius tonight in both the 7th and 8th grade games. The 7th grade team won by 20 or so. The final on the 8th grade game was 61 - 38. Tons of offense as everyone got into the act for the Birds. Much tougher game tomorrow as the Birds host the Tigers from Beechwood.

Camels will be a tough out in the tourney if they can play 24 minutes of good defense.

They know what to do, it's just a matter of execution!

He seems to work hard and I know he was always a part of those tough Kings teams in AAU. Hope he isnt too hot next week though when the Birds visit Alexandria. :popcorn:
