So all of those families should be banned from participating in the Ft T school system? Should all siblings of arrested kids in Ft Thomas be booted from the system?

Too many of these Section 8 recipients couldn't care less about the schools or a better way of life. If they cared you wouldn't see nice neighborhoods turning into a trashy crime ridden mess. We don’t build slums; people that don’t care turn them into a run-down, squalid part of a city.

When things happen to areas like what's going on in the West Side of Cincy, all the work in the world isn't going to help, you're stuck. Says he LOVES the poor because the government will keep the income coming in on time.
August 23, 200818 yr Okay, like everything else in life, you have the good and you have the bad. You can't paint everyone with the same brush. There are some people who are receipients of housing subsidies who are neat freaks and appreciate the opportunity to better themselves and their families. There are some property owners who are slobs. I think we all can accept that. But while I am usually pretty sympathetic to most, I absolutely can understand when people become frustrated with those who either abuse the system, or squander the opportunities provided by assistance programs. As a taxpayer, I become frustrated as well. For example, Thursday afternoon I was in line to pay for gas. The young woman in front of me paid cash for a pack of cigarettes. She received several bills and some change in return, then presented her food stamps card to pay for a 32 oz. fountain soft drink. The total was $1.37. If she had cash left from the cigarette purchase, why use the food stamps to pay for the soda? Why are people even allowed to use food stamp cards at gas stations? Why can food stamps pay for soda? While I don't think welfare programs can be totally eliminated, I absolutely believe they need to be drastically reformed. Section 8 definitely included.

You must have missed the article in the Enquirer about the producers of COPS wanting to film an episode with the Fort Thomas police department. Bad boys, Bad boys. Whatcha going to do when Run to State and Birdsfan come for you.
