August 21, 200818 yr Great news... Though why would an email say 5-star when Rivals has him listed as a 3-star? I mean how can there be a 2-star difference between two different places???

August 21, 200818 yr These folks that hand out Stars don't get to see half these kids play. Bottom line can the kid make plays? I would say yes or UK wouldn't have offered him. I rate Scout a -1 Star. Because they only know half about what they are talking about. Congrats to UK on the pick up

Congrats to UK on the pick up According to Rivals, the main reason newton is not a 4 Star is because he didn't do the Summer Camp circuit. Newton openly stated he was content with his scholly offers and didn't see the point in it. There is a evry high possibility he will be bum,ped to 4 Stars if he has as solid of a seaosn as he is expected.
August 21, 200818 yr Great news and certainly a problem Kentucky hasn't been faced with in a while. A QB competition with two solid QB's. When it comes down to one or the two hitting the field, which do you think it will be, Mossakowski or Newton? If so does either redshirt? Good problem to have now either way, and just on a side note from the vids I have watched and from the things I have seen I like Moss just a tad bit better, but it is close. A great spin though is if Mossakowski does go baseball, and opt for the majors, we now have Newton so this is not even a worry now. All around great news, lets just hope we get them both on campus safely and injury free.
August 21, 200818 yr This is very good news. The recruiting class is really shaping up to be a very good one. Hopefully we will even break the top 10 recruiting class ranking in the SEC this year.
August 21, 200818 yr The last time UK had a class like this one was in the 70's under Curci. They, "ahem", went on probation the next year, LOL!!!
August 21, 200818 yr Newton made if offical today but committed to the Cats over a month ago...Newton committed to the UK coaching staff before Moss did. Two great QB's that will both look good in UK Blue!!
August 21, 200818 yr MAN THIS IS EXCITING!!!!!!!! Now if they can use this leverage to get some top notch WR's we'll really be cooking!

He may have to switch to receiver, but all I hear about this kid is that he is a great fit for a spread type offense.
