I think it would be near unanimous that Tampa Bay would be considered the biggest suprise of the MLB seasons so far (well except to Rockpride:thumb:) but who has been the biggest disappointment?

Some of the teams that I've included are in the playoff mix including the Mets who are actually in first place but their records are maybe not what was expected.

You could even throw the Mariners into the mix as well.

Yes very true, they should have done a lot better and they got Bedard in the winter.

The Indians are my choice. To really be as good as they were last year and win that division, then come with in one game of the World Series. This year they are just awful. They started to get it going in May, then the Reds swept them. There is so much talent on that team.

The Rockies had to win 15/16 (whatever it was) just to make the playoffs last year and made it to the W.S. because they got hot at the right time.

Got to go with Cleveland ... their offense went totally south. The only guy not having a disappointing season for them is Grady Sizemore.

If we had known that Cliff Lee would have had the season he is having, a lot of people would have been picking the Indians to be in the World Series,

The Mariners were overrated by many from the start.

Too many old guys, too many bad contracts for unproductive players (Sexson, Silva, Batista and Washburn) and too many holes in the lineup (Sexson and Vidro, among others).

^They were good the year before and added a Stud pitcher. How could you not expect better?

The 88-74 record was an anomaly ... they were actually outscored, and teams like that usually start losing ground.

When a team has that many regulars in their 30s, they're not going to get better. And their rotation aside from Hernandez and Bedard was shaky at best.

I picked the Yankees because of their $2.6 Billion payroll or whatever it is. They're 11 games out of first and 6 1/2 out in the wildcard in spite of all that spending. It hasn't gotten any better even with the additions of Nady, Sexson and Rodriguez. Cleveland and Detroit would be my runners up. Remember how excited everyone was in the offseason about the addition of Willis and Cabrera to the Tiger's lineup? I did make it where you could vote for multiple teams if you feel it is a tie between several.

Detroit would probably be my second choice, but their season isn't a total shock. The Tigers are another old team, and Willis should never have been expected to be very good ... he's been going downhill for a while.

Cleveland and Detroit, were both expected to do much better.

Detroit,a preseason pick to make the World Series, now won't make the playoffs, very disappointed.
