He has a small tear in the fluid sack on his knee. Healing fine, rehabbing fine. May play against Clay friday, but really expect him back at corbin the next week.

Seriously we need to set a time and place to meet to head across the mountain to tailgate. Game starts at 7:30, I'm guessing school gets out or at least the parking lot is clear by 3:30 or 4:00. What time do we need to get there? Remember on the game thread the LCC people said the parking lot feels up pretty quick! I think it will get the team fired up if when they arrive they see a bunch of Black Bear Fans already in the parking lot! Lets get serious and plan this.

Guys hate to break this too you but unless Merida can block and run at the same time nobody in the KC backfield will be putting up big numbers in a three back system with young OL players.

I was told by a coach from Halan Co that only Freshmen and JV players played against W-burg. That would probably make a big difference in how good W-burg looked. IMO!

I try to keep up with the tri-county teams and I was in the Guard in Barbourville for 20+ years. A lot of KC/LC/County talk in the armory. A lot of connections. How do you know so much about KC now that I have told you how I know what I know.

I know quite a few people there, plus I live in the County and have a lot of Barbourville ties. You learn some things when you get outside of your own comfort zone, Rome.

There were some starters on that first series. About 1/2. W'burg lookd good though, regardless of who was in or out. I just don't think HC was ready for W'burg because 1: They didn't get a chance to scout and prepare for their offense, something they had the chance to do for 2 weeks against Knox Central and 2: They just played really hard for 20 minutes of gameplay against top competition and only half of them were out there, not too mention W'burg came in fresh and ready.

Excellent breakdown, 3wishes. I think reason #1 was a little more evident than #2. Still, with the exception of the freshmen and the kids coming in from Cawood, the old players from Cumberland and Evarts knew what was coming with Williamsburg.

HC also had a chance to see the WHS offense in a passing scrim. back in June at Pineville. Both HC and KC should have fine seasons. WHS must maintain focus if they are to be successful. KC was a better team, but WHS completely let down in the KC game.

The 7 on 7's don't mean much when the real scrimmages start. They give you an idea of what a QB/Rcvr team can do, but it changes when the 11 on 11 starts. KC was a decently big, strong team and I think that WHS just wore down some. It happens with the smaller schools. On top of that, JV or freshmen, what WHS faced in the HCHS team was not an easy task, either.
