Might it be a three team scrimmage with Knox, Williamsburg and Harlan County? That type of scrimmage happens fairly regularly.

Apparently Williamsburg was supposed to scrimmage Knox Central, however, they are not in the conference that is hosting the grid-o-rama. So evidently, W-burg is going to be in this scrimmage also.

Question, is this just a scrimmage, an incredibly, and increasingly confusing scrimmage, or is this the annual panorama the local teams usually compete in?

The Gridorama is really messed up this year. Due to the consolidation of three of the teams (Evarts, Cumberland, Cawood) who normally participate in this scrimmage, into one (Harlan Co.) it has changed the numbers. Bell is also not participating this year due to scrimmaging Johnson Central.....a two-year home-away agreement conflict Friday night. Williamsburg participated regularly at the SEKC gridorama. I also think that the SEKC gridorama is going on at Clay County on Thursday night as well, are they not?

So how will this work? Will there be 3 games that night? Will one team play twice?

 

I don't know how this is planned but of the ones I've seen it usually works something like this:

 

Team A lines up and runs a set number of plays against team B's defense. Then team B's offense runs plays against team C's defense followed by team C's offense vs. team A's defense until everyone has run some plays against the other. Then they may sub or play JV and do it all over again. Sometimes they even stand and watch each other kick field goals or PATs.

 

The next day fans get on here and argue about who "won".

That sounds like a lot of fun. I mean arguing over who really won.:lol:

I have been around for a while and in the SEKC grids I can never remember seeing a 3-way in their format. I not saying it has never been done but in my 20+ years I can not remember it.

I recall one several years ago at the old Knox Central field. I can't remember the participants but it seems as though it were KC, Harlan Ind., and I can't recall the third at all though it seems it was an out of area team, possibly Pike Central.

 

They're not a whole big lot of fun other than to get a glimpse of the teams. There are far too many intangibles in a real game that can't be duplicated in this type of format.

The 3 way scrimmages are h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e! Why have one for the Grid game? The head-to-head games are so much better.

Question for the people close to the Knox Central program, is Jake Slusher still playing?
