Don't know what other option Catholic kids from Boone County would have if they want a Catholic education, without going even farther away from home?

Not really. We occasionally get several players outside of Ft. Thomas (even some disgruntled CovCath players every now and then:D), but if you want to compare the number of players you've received from outside a seven square mile area surrounding CovCath with the number of players that we've received from outside of Ft. Thomas over the last 20 years, I'll start making my list.

 

The only two that I can think of this year are Conner and Ted Abner. Conner as you pointed out lives in Newport and Abner lives in Kenton County. Teddy's father is a Highlands grad. The place of Abner's residence is a testament to whom wears the pants in that family (sorry Ted. I didn't want to type that but my fingers wouldn't listen to me. Besides, if I didn't type it, Jim or Mick would have anyway. :D)

First, I must say the rival article was [B]really good[/b]. Can someone shed some light on this so called rock. What is this thing like an infamous Ernst T. Bass rock thing, or could it be the rock that surfaced from the depths of the unfamous "Mud Bowl". Whatever this is I guess if it works for ya, go for it. :thumb:

Was that (1982) the Cov Cath team that Sutkamp and Bellevue beat or was it 1979. I remember the Tigers traveling to Park Hills on a sunny saturday afternoon back then and beating the Colonels.

The'82 Cov Cath Team lost to Boone in game 1 and HHS during the season & in the playoffs. Those were their only loses.

 

That was a year after the Mike Sutkamp graduated.
