I understand what everyone on here is saying about loyalities but your work is totally seperate from your family or at least I was always taught that way. I think that in the long run the decisions are really no one elses concern but the parents and the kids. What is good for this particular child may not be for another one. I know a teacher that taught and retired from one school system. She had 6 kids 3 went to the county she taught in while 3 others went to another county. It just all depends on the kids and what the parents may think are the best. I work in a hospital and not all of us see the same doctors that we work with on a daily basis.

Who cares leave them alone! A move like this will allow the student/athlete to enjoy high school without seeing dad everyday in the hall breathing down his neck!

What about a superintendent who lived in one district, worked in another district and sent is son to play basketball to a completely different school district. I will let everyone guess who that might have been..lol

I've got an idea. How about we just have one giant super team and put every kid in the state on it. Since it would then be the only team left, it would win State by default and everyone gets to be the champ. Think of all the stress saved in not having to school shop and worry if you picked the right team.

I think I know the people involved and I can tell you first hand that R4Life needs to worry about his own house and not what someone is doing with Their KIDS. Are you serious, is this something to talk about, a kid going to another school, which I might add is like going from a Pinto to a Benz. The school system the man works for is at the bottom of the barrell which is why I have taken my kid to another school. And second of all the man is not a teacher, but it sounds better doesnt it R4Life. Last I remembered the man is the one raising this kid along with his mother and who are we to say what a person should do with their kids, thats whats wrong with loosing systems, they worry about what could happen instead of fixing whats wrong.

Sounds like you took this a little personal now doesn't it.:scared: My point was if the school is good enough for you to work then it should be good enough to send your kid to JMO. I wanted to know what other people thought about this topic and unless I'm mistaken that's what this site is for. I know the father wants whats best for his kid and thats fine it's his decision. And if I were a kid I would rather drive a Pinto than half to SIT and watch everyone else drive a Bentz.

Totally different situation here, in fact he is sending his kid to a bigger school with where I'm sure is a lot more of what you call "garbage" that goes on. I don't blame a parent for wanting to send a kid where they can flourish, but my point is here he 's not going to get any playing time at that school, but if he went to the school where his parent works in the system then he could probablly start. To me I would send my kid to where he could play and not where he is going to ride the bench just to have a chance to go to Rupp.

I think this has happened several times with the Mason County royals getting teachers kids from surrounding schools.

Sorry I didnt mention to name the school I apologize- but I also know of a few instances where the families have sent thier kids to Private schools to play but they have taught in the public school system because of retirement and pay. Hard to knock that really. The only thing I dont like is a bigger school recruiting teachers with easy jobs to get thier kids for 4-5 years.

I doubt this thread would have been started if the kid could play the violin and wanted to be in the orchestra. This kind of thing happens everywhere all the time.
