Track The Reds (Week 19)

I don't think everyone said that. Maybe said he doesn't deserve to be hitting there, but don't recall everyone saying that. Where's he hitting with the sox? Hit in the 5 hole tonight...0-4 and Ave. down to .200

Konerko, Swisher are also having rough years, average wise, so Griffey has just become the latest member on that team to struggle.

On the 3 hole debate, everyone seemed to say that was a major problem with this team.

..and everyone was correct.

Anybody see Phillips get called out for interference in the base path on Saturday night? It was in the 6th (I think) and it was on Adam Dunn's broken bat infield bloop to Miguel Tejada.

What a terrible call that was. And what a great time trying to read the lips of Brandon Phillips, Dusty Baker & the heavyweight ump.

Anyone still think they have a shot??:lol::lol::lol:

Come on what happened to all the optimism? It was only a couple of weeks ago that this team was 3 under .500 and we had plenty of Wild card talk on here. This team is horrible. They never had a shot. Hope everyone gets that now.

Two good moves and it will be interesting, to see the expanded 40 man roster in a few weeks.

If Bailey can adjust some things over the winter, he cab become very effective. Ross, I just don't see him in the big show much longer, for anyone.

Do you see him in a Reds uniform in 2009? Personally, I do not.

:mad:malachicrunch is correct. This team is horrible. Some have been

'shouted down' for stating as much in these forums previously. There were

and still are way too many holes for this Reds team to be truly competitive.

Really in a pennant race.

What worries me now is the number of innings that Volquez, Cueto & Homer are going to throw.

Right now, the Reds are playing for next year. No reason to jeopardize the future by running those guys out to the mound on a regular basis.

Maybe give Affeldt a few starts?

Well, he got sent back down. And again, I don't see him with the Reds bext year.

Why keep him, your reasoning may answer your question?

He's still young and has a lot of talent. Why not try and see if he can get things going in the right direction before making that call...

Edinson Volquez was 3-11 in 17 starts. Yet his trade value was really high.

Again with sending Homer down. I know he's gotten rocked, but if he's in our future, he needs to continue to learn at the big league level. Fogg won't be here next year anyway, so why didn't he go?
