August 5, 200818 yr ^ Whats that going 3-4? I would say that might constitute a "career game" for him.
August 5, 200818 yr I'm hoping I wasn't the only one who saw the idiots on TV that brought a "Jim Day Fan Club" banner to the game. Jim went over and signed it. Absolutely hilarious.:lol:
August 6, 200818 yr The boo birds are flying around the park, after the dangerous Dave Bush retired his tenth batter in a roll. The Reds are awful. They don't even care that they are awful, that is what makes it so bad.
August 6, 200818 yr Voltron is/has been struggling badly I think you may be on to something. Voltron's last couple months. It fits the Reds perfectly though, Arroyo finally starts pitching fairly well and the young kids for the Reds start to struggle since they are going through this long season grind for the first time. One thing goes well, 2 things fall apart, so goes Cincinnati baseball.
August 6, 200818 yr Not saying that Volquez is Brandon Webb, but even the best pitcher in baseball has some bad outings. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=280617129 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=280526115 He's still only 25 and learning. The success he's had this year is very new to him, maybe even went to his head a little bit with the All Star selection and what not. As long as he stays healthy, and with the stuff he has, I believe he will be ok.
August 6, 200818 yr If everyone is healthy, Reds could have a pretty good starting rotation next year. You would imagine that Harang would bounce back, the two kids will be even better. Too bad Dusty will still be the manager though.
August 6, 200818 yr I still believe Dusty can win. He really hasn't had much to work with this year, but WJ will hopefully go out and get some ball players. Jacoby has to go though. I agree about the rotation, but I don't see Homer in a Reds uni next year.
August 6, 200818 yr The Reds need some hitters who can hit over .250. Haven't you heard? Avg is overrated;)
