August 3, 200818 yr Just where does all of the Reds floundering leave Dusty Baker? He was supposed to be different from Dave Miley, different from Jerry Narron, different from Pete Mackanin, yet the results are still the same: A once promising Reds team hoeplessly moribund with two months left in a season. Mailing it in may be an understatement, to say the least. Firing Baker isn't necessarily the answer, but where's the accountability? The culture was supposed to be different, and it seems all Baker did was lend his credentials to the Reds so that the organization could all feel good that they DIDN'T hire another relative unknown (see names above). Spring training 2009 started during this most recent nosedive, apparently.:irked:

August 5, 200818 yr I was going to make a comment about moving Bruce out of the three hole, after he had success there over the weekend. It obviously doesn't matter where he hits. He just hits.
