August 6, 200818 yr Voltron is/has been struggling badly I think you may be on to something. Voltron's last couple months. It fits the Reds perfectly though, Arroyo finally starts pitching fairly well and the young kids for the Reds start to struggle since they are going through this long season grind for the first time. One thing goes well, 2 things fall apart, so goes Cincinnati baseball. The success he's had this year is very new to him, maybe even went to his head a little bit with the All Star selection and what not. As long as he stays healthy, and with the stuff he has, I believe he will be ok. I don't really think that it is a case of Volquez getting the big head from his first half. I think it is more a result of his workload. I'm not saying he's been over used just that he's getting to a spot where a lot of young pitchers kind of hit a wall and there stuff isn't as good. He'll have to make an adjustment and figure out how to get by without his best stuff every night. He may not look like the Volquez of the first half but I think in the long run he'll be fine.
August 6, 200818 yr Homer just ain't a MLB pitcher, at least not right now. He doesn't even bear the slightest resemblence to a Major League pitcher. Just awful.
