Anybody else experience dizziness (especially when moving your head to left regardless if you’re standing, sitting or lying down), frequent headaches and a hard time remembering what you wanted to say or were thinking?

Any clue as to what this could be?

Possibly vertigo?

Vertigo has many causes. You may have this type of dizziness because you have small calcium deposits in your inner ear. You may have vertigo because of swelling or fluid in your inner ear. Vertigo may happen if you have migraine headaches or an anxiety disorder. Rarely, vertigo is caused by poor blood flow or a tumor.

Have you checked your blood pressure lately? I have high blood pressure and have had problems with headaches and dizziness. I don't remember any memory problems, though.

I have high blood pressure but take medication that keeps it in check.

I've had this before and thought it was the same thing again, but it's lasted much longer and I didn't have the frequent headaches or a hard time remembering things.

Well, I have no idea then. Maybe you are watching the Reds too much. :p

I'm sure one of our many members of the site have gone through the same thing. I never really get sick, so if Yahoo/Google can't answer it, I'm out of options.

It's probably something to do with "Obama":D Seriously, call your doctor for an appointment and let him/her check you out. You just don't want to fool around wondering what it is until it's too late. CALL TOMORROW - OR I WILL!!!!!!! And you know I will.

:thumb: Good advice, and the last part is between the two of you.:D

Very good advice. Read the thread about Alyson Harmeling in volleyball. Your symptoms can mean little (maybe your blood pressure medication needs adjusting) or it can be something far more serious. Bottom line is your body is trying to tell you something, and only your doctor can help you there. Do not ignore it, put it off, or worse, get medical advice from BGP members:creepy:

Good luck and keep us informed!

Ram might have an idea. He is the one that figured out what my problem was back a month ago.

As advised, always visit your doctor. It could be a multitude of things, blood pressure, respiratory problems, vertigo, and the list goes on.

An educated guess from the information provided would be: you possible have an inner ear infection. Inner ear infections display symptoms such as dizziness upon movement of the head, nausea and vomiting when moving, and head ache - normally on the side of the head, possible both sides or just one side. This is sometime accompanied by fever, ear aches, and drainage from one or both ears. All these symptoms are not always present. The likelihood of it being an inner ear infection is compounded by you having a recent cold, and/or sinus infection.

The ear helps to control balance, an inner infection causes fluid to build up in the middle and inner ear. This fluid build up inhibits the ear's ability control balance and causes dizziness when the head or body is moved.

Very true. My husband had an inner ear infection following the flu several years ago. Initially it was almost impossible for him to get out of bed without severe dizziness. Good news is that it is very treatable with medication. It actually took a couple of months for his sympoms to go away, but he was fine after that.

I was thinkin inner ear infection as well...but, yes, go to the doctor. We all care too much about for you not to go. Keep us informed and prayers are with you!

You might need to have your medication checked.

The reason I say this is that a guy I work with has been having the same symptoms you had. He was diagnosed with a inner ear infection. He took something for that but a couple of days later the symptoms came back. They then found out that his blood pressure medication was causing some of his dizziness. They are running more tests to make sure though.

I would suggest a trip to your physician to make sure.

Not to scare you but have you had your blood sugar level checked lately? Oh heck, go to the doctor and get them to check your ears, your blood pressure and your blood sugar to start out and then we'll just go from there. Please call your doctor early monday morning. You cannot get sick on me otherwise who is going to sneak me a bourbon and coke:D
