August 3, 200818 yr If Liggins and Galloway get eligible they will make the NCAA tournament. I think they will go 12-3 non-conference, 10-6 in the SEC, 1-1 in conference tournament and the CATS will make a second round exit in the big dance.

August 3, 200818 yr Would think that a UK-Western Kentucky game every year at Freedom Hall would be a competitive game with good crowds instead of always using the Freedom Hall game for teams like Appalacian State,etc. Or how about we stop playing a game in Louisville every year............another home game would be better.
August 4, 200818 yr Everyone is aware that all K-State's good players went to the NBA? I would love to pay $30 or so to see them Delaware St., they should at least play EKU or Morehead if there going to have a schedule like this. 22,000 people look very forward to paying $30 to see them play Deleware State. There is nothing wrong with UK's out of conference schedule. They can't play top 25 teams from major conferences in every single game. K-State might have lost their big players, but they are still a BCS school with a decent basketball program. Miami will be a top 25 team for sure this season and we know what UNC has. Louisville will be a top 25 team for sure. Indiana is a joke this season, but that's still a BCS school and a great rival.

August 5, 200818 yr Other than Meeks, who can hit an outside shot? I see a lot of teams playing zone and packing it in on the bigs. I wouldn't be surprised if Mark Krebs gets some spot duty to bust up some zones. He would be a major liability defensively, but he is the only other good 3 pt shooter on the team besides Meeks.
August 5, 200818 yr It's a decent schedule and UK fans should be pretty happy with it, not counting the 2nd game that could very easily be a 30 point beat down considering the inexperience of this years team. Not counting the SEC I see 2 top 5 teams, 1 top 20 team and a few others that will probably finish anywhere in the 25-50 range which isn't bad. In the long run, I think it's the SEC in general that will bring down the overall strength of schedule but UK needs to take advantage of that this year and make sure they get to the tournament.
