How can you say the Cats will win, after making this statement? :lol: This factor is a no-brainer, doesn't matter if you're a fan of UK or UL....

 

It's pretty simple really. If you can run the football and play great defense you are going to win more games then you are going to lose. I think KY has a better defense and I think KY has a better running game (agree or disagree).

What are you talking about? :creepy: I said in my first post that I thought UK would win because they have a better running game and most importantly a better defense. I said if UofL wins it will be because Cantwell I think will be a better QB this year than Hartline. I don't understand why that is hard to figure out. Let me spell it out:

QB: Cantwell

Running game: UK

Defense: UK

My pick: UK because I think they have a stronger running game and defense.

 

Hartline doesn't have to be spectacular ala Woodson if UK has a solid run game. UK doesn't have near the talent at WR this year but they have a stable of RB's. If they run the ball successfully then it will open the big play to Dickey Lyons who is solid.

I don't think UofL will be as good as they have been the last few years on either side of the ball. I don't think UK will be close to as good on offense as they have been but the potential to have one of the better defenses they have had in a long time is there IMO.

They also gave up 34 to the "terrible" UL team...

 

U of L had a terrible defensive team but when their offense was healthy and clicking they were pretty good. Brohm, Douglas, Barndige, Urrutia, Allen, Bussey, Wood were all good and Paul Warford struggled covering Douglas.

35-on 18th ranked defense of Utah

41-on 17th ranked defense of Rutgers

34-on 67th ranked defense of UK

 

With Most of the defense returning I can see were they can make some major improvements.

Cantwell has moved the ball quite effectively against much better defenses before.

Push in your opinion... not mine. I don't know why that's hard for you to understand. I'm not one of these blind fans that thinks everything is better for my tema. I already said that I thought the Cards had the better QB. I think KY has the better backfield, better up front (although I do worry a little there), UofL better at WR and KY better on defense. I'll say it one last time:

I'm sorry but I think UK has an advantage at RB with Dixon,Locke,Smith,Allen,& Conner without a doubt.(IMO)
