Anyone who has ever been involved in NKYFL knows what a great league it is and how many great players have come out of the league. Well its been 50 years since the inception of the league and its time for the first Hall Of Fame induction. It will be held Saturday Aug 2 at Brierwood. Public is invited $25 a couple or $15 single. We will induct 50 individuals and the most notable team from the past 50 years. Every organization will have inductees in attendance. Does anyone have memories you would like to share. Player you respected? Coaches? Favorite team Mom? Best game? Post here then come to banquet and see some people in person.:dancingpa

Glad to hear that Jack Aynes and Benny Clary from Ludlow will be recognized by the NKYFL. These are 2 very fine men who have done more for the kids of Ludlow in the past 50 years then anyone will ever be able to remember. They are men that get involved with the youth of Ludlow for all the right reasons and they deserve to be honored for their achievements. Congrats Benny and Jack..

Congrats to Jason Skirvin of Dayton-one of the best running backs in the last 20 years in Northern Kentucky. Not only a great, hard nosed runner-but even a better person. Skirvin was one of the small school players that could have played and been successful anywhere. It is a shame he had a major injury at Georgetown.

Most dominating I ever saw was Eugene Luke for the Erlanger Lions in the early 80's.

Eugene Luke is the first player from the Erlanger Lions that was a unanamous pick by the Lions Coaches to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I had the pleasure of coaching him at Lloyd. JD

Please let me echo your comments about Jason. I had the pleasure of being on the coaching staff when the Dayton team won the 92 Super Bowl in the Senior Division with Jason at the tailback spot. The offense we ran that year was the brainchild of Paul Hundemer, another inductee from Dayton. Jason won't be able to attend the ceremony as he is in Washington D.C. to attend a wedding.
