:thumb: The next thing you know people will be accusing the Obama of hanging a pseudo-presidential seal on Obama's podiums.

Oh please...Obama could singlehandedly chase down a guy that mugs an old lady and some of you all would play it up as a political statement, while if McCain did so, herald it as being the action of a true American. If you can't ever see beyond the political hype, then it's useless "discussing" with you.

It was a nice prayer.

If anyone truly thinks that Obama's camp did this, then I have only one word - ridiculous.

If you, HB20, and me are ever out anywhere and I get jumped by gang of thugs, I pray that you two are as neutrel towards me as you are toward Obama. :p:lol:

There is nothing that Obama's staff is above politicizing. Obama canceled a planned visit to the troops on his trip because the military would not allow the visit to be made into a campaign event.

Obama

:laugh::laugh: Imagine what kind of defense Obama will be able to mount once these undecided voters decide to support him.

I am absolutely not a BHO Fan or supporter, that said, I feel the taking of his prayer and subsequent printing of it was completely wrong.

I have no doubt that this was not a set up political event by BHO, I don't think he would stoop that low. Now Hillary, she would have passed out copies to the press before she placed the prayer in the wall.

I agree that it is inappropriate to print a private prayer. I disagree that it is beneath Obama's staff to have played a part.

It was wrong to take the prayer from the wall and publish it. (I don't care what party you are from).

Yes. I so often make negative statements on here about McCain. If I am not an Obama-basher, then I MUST be anti-McCain. If I defend a man who makes a simple prayer, then I can't be undecided. Obviously, if it had been McCain, I wouldn't have defended him on here. Blah, blah, blah....

Sorry that I don't buy into the "you're either with me or against me" line that seems to be so popular. I can support BOTH candidates.

I have stated on more then one occassion that I feel comfortable with either candidate being elected. Strangely, I would be much more comfortable voting for McCain then some of you that actively bash Obama on here. For me, both have certain issues that I strongly agree with and some that I disagree with. I feel like the majority of my concerns align more with Obama, but I often feel like McCain can bridge the gap between Dems and Reps in our country, thus getting more accomplished in his tenure. So, no matter WHO wants to laugh at me and disregard my "undecided" stance, I am undecided, despite how much some posters, as Clyde says, spit venom at Obama, making me feel like I need to defend him and making me want to distance myself from them, thus effectively pushing me TOWARD Obama.

That makes about as much sense as any of the other reasons that people give for supporting Obama. If my continued criticism of Obama is pushing you toward Obama, then you might as well write him a check.

I plan to continue to criticize Obama when he deserves it. I believe that Obama is planning a week-long vacation in August, so I will probably be able to take a week off then.

Hey, I've been rather quiet lately, why do you have to bring me into this?

And I'd be very neutral. I'd run as fast as possible no matter who it was getting beat up by the thugs. :D I don't have to be the fastest person, I just have to be faster than the slowest person!

Yeah ya have! Where you been?

So much for open-mindedness. Even when Obama prays, you criticize and accuse him - without any proof - of wrongdoing. If that doesn't give you any pause, then, there is little chance that he could do anything that you wouldn't criticize him over.
