July 24, 200818 yr Forgive my Big East stupidity but who are the 6 teams picked ahead of UL? West Va, Va Tech, South Florida, Cincy, Rutgers and ???? Or mabey one of the 5 I picked are wrong.

July 25, 200818 yr A tune up doesn't fix a blown engine...Hard to argue UofL showed anything but a complete meltdown. However that is where I get some optimism. I believe a large part of the problem was that the D lost faith in itself very early and simply wasn't trying after thing fell apart. If it weren't blow coverages or pathetic intensity, and I thought our players were simply outclassed I would have a little less faith. With a new D Coordinator, a need for redemption (and the return of L.Thomas and a second year for Turenne who I expect big improvement from), and a more clock hungry offense. I can't help but believe the D will improve.

July 25, 200818 yr There isn't a snowballs chance in you know what that UL wins the league this year... I don't think any team is A LOT better than the next. WVU lost a coach, and many players. Pitt is unproven, UC is unproven, UConn (one year wonder), Rutgers lost a lot, the Cuse is the Cuse. If I had to pick my favorite, it would be USF. As bad as UofL was last year, they were the one team that handed it too them, and they got a lot coming back. I don't think UofL will win it, but it ain't like the other teams are a lot better. Thats what I am saying. The defense will get better and the offense will still score, and score a lot. USF WVU Pitt UofL Cincy Rutgers Uconn Cuse
July 25, 200818 yr Author WVU returns White, Devine and the entire O Line. They are fully equipped to score 40 a game on the ground alone. USF is a pretty clear cut favorite for me. I have UC 3rd, but they could easily be as low as 6th if the QB situation doesn't pan out. McCoy is the best player in the conference and if Stull is healthy for Pitt they are dangerous. I'm not sold on Rutgers or UConn, but at this time UL is still a ways behind them...
