July 24, 200818 yr ^ Who knows the answer to that one. I didn't lose any of my presets, but it wouldn't be too hard to set them back up. I would recommend Sirius to everyone, I also have the boom box so I can listen in the house, garage or pool.

Its pretty difficult to make my favorite 30 songs play so that I can save them again :madman:
July 24, 200818 yr I haven't turned mine on yet so I don't know about the update! I love Sirius though. I am constantly on the road for work and I don't know what I would do without it!

July 25, 200818 yr Author I have my channels all re-programmed and I discovered that I didn't lose my stored songs after all. I was pretty happy when it beeped today and "Let Me Clear My Throat" started blasting in my car :thumb:
July 25, 200818 yr I had XM for year and then switched over to Sirius last month. I think I made the right decision. XM and Sirius are going to merge... but i'm pretty sure thats just the companies, I dont think the channels will merge. My unit did cost around $160... but it's the Sportster 5 I believe. It's got the rewind and everything.. I love it! As for installation, I did it myself.. it's pretty easy.

July 25, 200818 yr I never heard of an XM boom box. Is it a special boom box for XM radio? If so, where did you get it. I dont have mine set up for the house. I keep saying Im going to and I put it off!! Sorry I did not see this earlier.... XM boom box.....you put your XM radio in it...it clicks in nothing hard at all. You plug it in and it plays. Needs to sit by a window, or, you can use it outside anywhere. It has an internal antenna that allows you to listen to it. Yes, it is for XM only and has no radio, tape, anything exta with it. We got ours at Best Buy. It is great. I got ours on line at Best Buy because our Best buy was sold out. We love it!!!! We listen to it all the time. You can use the speakers it has or, you can use headphones...PH purchased Bose headphones for when he wanted to listen and I did not.....The Boom Box is a great investment! I think it was around 80 dollars.
July 25, 200818 yr We have XM in one car and Sirius in another one both online in the home and also Sirius on a boom box. I bet you love it as much as we do! Our Sirius is free for one more year in the van. I love them both!!! I thought it was stupid idea until we got them!! I would never go back to regular radio after having these.
