Another thread on tattoos so lets start on what I think is an absurd practice. Body piercing. I don't understand the appeal. I do not like male ear piercing at all and women with multiple holes in their ears just look odd to me. I see someone with a stud through their lip and I want to reach for a claw hammer and pull it out. I see someone that can't speak clearly because of a tongue piercing and I laugh. I see someone with a nose piercing and I wonder if snot shoots out the hole when they blow. Other parts that can't be discussed here just leave me shaking my head.

I dunno and I think it doesn't suit some people but others just look hot with a navel ring or nose piercing. I dunno what it is but man it can look sexy.

I had my ears pierced four times in each ear, but haven't worn earrings in probably at least 7-8 years. It just got old.

I am not really one of piercings on guys...but I guess it works for some, but not others I wouldn't have any.

 

As for girls with multiple piercings. I really never dug the idea of more than one piercing in an ear, but my girlfriend actually has four in one of her ears and it looks really good. But just my opinion.

I don't have a problem with anyone having their ears pierced and quite frankly if they want to look stupid, IMO, and pierce other parts of their body, go right ahead. I think when you have your eyebrows, ears, nose, tongue, pierced it looks freaky.

 

My friend the ARNP, who is a woman's health ARNP, says you would be surprised and appalled to know whatelse women and men pierce:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:

There are some body parts that should NEVER come near sharp objects.

Body and face piercings, are like a baseball closer with no saves and an ERA of 12.60....neither serve a purpose.

I get super annoyed with tongue piercings. I can't stand watching someone flipping that thing around.

I don't mind ear or navel piercing for a woman, but I never have liked seing guys with earrings. The one I really can't understand is the fad with stretching out your earlobe with disc, I assume it will never return to form.

I had a good friend move to Flordia. When she left she took this beautiful little blond girl and this very handsome young man. She called one night and said that she was coming through town on her way to Ohio and she wanted me to meet them for dinner. So off I go to meet her. She brought with her this very very beautiful young woman, who had a pierce in everything I could see and probably places that I couldn't, and because of all this hardware she had on she was a most unattractive young woman. Her son had those things in both of his earlobes stretching holes in them. I couldn't take me eyes off of these kids and then I just had to say something. "Why would you let these beautiful children do such stuff to them", I asked. Needless to say she was not happy with me and we haven't spoken since. I didn't mean to make her mad and I am truly sorry that I did but I just couldn't understand her thinking in allowing this. What is the purpose in making yourself look like a freak?
