Clyde
Only valid reason is because he earned it. Outside of that, I'm with you... He earned it. I applaud him and he gets his mug on national TV. I hope he then gets lost on the bench. Too important to the future of this team to have our team pride get in the way of our good judgment. I bet more people watch the lineups being announced than stick with the game.
HammerTime
They won't let him pitch more than 2 innings maybe just 1.

HammerTime
Patterson is 2-for-5 vs. Sabathia. "I figured if we win it would be a low-scoring game," Baker said. "I want that good defense in there." From John Fay...

Wow, don't understand this lineup. Chance to end the series picking up 3 games on a team in front of you, you have the all-star break afterwards and Jr., Bruce and Votto go to the bench. Lose this game and after picking up the first two games, only gaining 1 game on the Brewers does not seem like such a great feat.

If Votto, Bruce, and Griffey were in the lineup the Reds would have little chance.

Hairston Jr. is 7-23 with 2 doubles. Hatteberg has had some decent success against CC. He's 8-21 with 5 RBI and has drawn 4 walks. Keppinger is 1-3. Corey Patterson is 2-5 against CC, with a double and 2 K's. B-Phil is 3-10 against CC, with a K. David Ross is 2-7 with 2 HR (both solo shots), 2 BB & 2 K's. Javy Valentin is 0-2, and Joey Votto is 0-3 with a K. Barry Larkin was 0-3 against CC.
LCPATS
Well, this line-up doesn't give much hope for a sweep.???
ColonelCrazy
Well, this line-up doesn't give much hope for a sweep.??? CC Sabathia doesn't give much hope for a sweep. I think we'll be okay. If we can get a solid performance from Homer and get Sabathia out relatively early, I like our chances. The Reds have been playing good baseball recently. HammerTime
You guys have to remember C.C. has lost more games than he has won so far this year. He has been as up and down as anyone. To write this off as an L already is crazy.
