June 23, 200818 yr Solid early verbal for UK. 6'0 270...DT. One profile compares him favorably to Terrel Byrd of Cincinnati.
June 23, 200818 yr Or we could just say congrats to the kid. Congrats. Still doesn't change the fact that he's undersized...:thumb:
June 23, 200818 yr Author Indeed he is undersized but as Howard Schnellenberger once said, "size only matters if it is leaning on you." Positive reviews abound though...one report from ESPN... Quick off the ball, displays his quickness, very active and gets into gap, moves well....obviously size may be an issue and has to use hands better and not to play tall...moves well, flashes ability to get to half a man and get skinny...good motor....solid prospect. Here is a kicker...Ridge Wilson a 3 star prospect at LB also goes to Lou Central. UK was in on him very early and he visited UK already and "fell in love". Family has ties to UL but he has no real favorite and UL was tardy getting in on him. Getting Wilson out of Louisville with Cobble would be a coup.
June 23, 200818 yr Congrats Mister Cobble. I think he will be a very good player at UK. I think he also was a very good wrestler and may have thrown the shot as well. Patterson, the junior, is the real stud on that team.
June 23, 200818 yr Solid early verbal for UK. 6'0 270...DT. One profile compares him favorably to Terrel Byrd of Cincinnati. If Coblble is as productive as Bryd, this will be a very nice signing. I like the instate recruiting work so far this year.
June 23, 200818 yr Author This report is coming from a UL site, and the writer IMO is shaky at best. Still awaiting confirmation from UK side of things.
June 23, 200818 yr I saw Cobble at UK linemen camp and was very impressed. Rich Brooks was there talking to him alot. Also from Central was Jordan Tennision(sp?) a 6'4ish DE that ran a 4.8 and had a good camp, I heard him say UK was where he wanted to be at next year, so maybe UK will get a few players off of the state champion Central team. June 23, 200818 yr Congrats. Still doesn't change the fact that he's undersized...:thumb: ...And doesn't change the fact that you probably have never seen the kid play then. Undersized or not, he is one of the best defensive players I have seen on the HS level.
